The FIS Ski Jumping World Cup is the world's highest level of ski jumping and the FIS Ski Flying World Cup as the subdivisional part of the competition. It was founded by Torbjørn Yggeseth for the 1979/80 season and organized by the International Ski Federation. Women began competing during the 2011/12 season. The rounds are hosted primarily in Europe, with regular stops in Japan and rarely in North America. These have been hosted in total 21 countries around the world for both men 20 and women: Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, China, Canada, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States. Summer Grand Prix is the top level summer competition on plastic. The lower competitive circuits include the Continental Cup, the Inter-Continental Cup, the FIS Cup, the FIS Race and the Alpen Cup. The Olympic Winter Games, the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships and the FIS Ski Flying World Championships do not count towards the World Cup. However, the 1984 Olympic Games, the 1982 Nordic World Ski Championships and the 1992, 1994, 1996 and 1998 Ski Flying World Championships were counted towards the World Cup.

1992–93 FIS Ski Jumping World Cup
The 1992–93 FIS Ski Jumping World Cup was the 14th World Cup season in ski jumping and the 3rd official World Cup season in ski flying with third small crystal globe awarded. Season began in Falun, Sweden on 5 December 1992 and was finished in Planica, Slovenia on 28 March 1993. The individual World Cup overall winner was Austrian ski jumping "wunderkind" Andreas Goldberger (first of three overall globes in his career) and he took the 4H Tournament also in this season; with those results began his domination in both ski jumping and ski flying, lasting for next couple of years. Nations Cup was taken by Team of Austria. 17 men's individual events on 13 different venus in 8 countries were held on the two different continents (Europe and Asia); and four individual events were cancelled in Harrachov and in Vikersund. Also 2 men's team events were held (and one cancelled in Ruhpolding). Peaks of the season were FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, Four Hills Tournament and planned Bohemia Tournament (which was cancelled due to lack of snow).

1992–93 FIS Ski Jumping Europa (Continental) Cup
The 1992/93 FIS Ski Jumping Europa Cup was the 13th and the last Europa Cup season in ski jumping for men and at the same counts as the 2nd Continental Cup winter season in ski jumping. Europa Cup was a predecessor of Continental Cup with events held only in Europe. Other competitive circuits this season included the World Cup season.

2023–24 FIS Ski Jumping World Cup
The 2023–24 FIS Ski Jumping World Cup, organized by the International Ski Federation (FIS), was the 45th World Cup season in ski jumping for men, the 27th season in ski flying, and the 13th season for women. The men's season started on 25 November 2023 in Ruka, Finland and concluded on 24 March 2024 in Planica, Slovenia. The women's season started on 2 December 2023 in Lillehammer, Norway and concluded on 21 March 2024, also in Planica. The men's season took a break in January due to the Ski Flying Championships in Bad Mitterndorf. Halvor Egner Granerud (men's) and Eva Pinkelnig (women's) were the reigning champions from the previous season, but they did not defend the title. Granerud finished the season in 24th place and Pinkelnig in 2nd place. Stefan Kraft (men's) and Nika Prevc (women's) became the new overall champions.

2024–25 FIS Ski Jumping World Cup
The 2024–25 FIS Ski Jumping World Cup, organized by the International Ski Federation (FIS), was the 46th World Cup season for men, the 28th season in ski flying, and the 14th season for women as the highest level of international ski jumping competitions. The men's and women's season started on 22 November 2024 in Lillehammer, Norway. The men's season concluded on 30 March 2025 in Planica, Slovenia, while the women's season ended on 21 March 2025 in Lahti, Finland. The season took a break in February and March for the World Championships in Trondheim, Norway. Stefan Kraft from Austria and Nika Prevc from Slovenia were the reigning champions from the previous season. Kraft did not defend his title, finishing the season in 3rd place. Daniel Tschofenig from Austria claimed the Crystal Globe for the first time, while Prevc successfully defended her title, securing her second World Cup title.
