Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) have arrested 18 members of a "teen gang" from different parts of Dhaka.
The arrestees were allegedly involved in theft, robbery and other crimes, according to a press release issued by Rab in this regard.
The teenagers were held during separate drives carried out by Rab-2 from last night till this morning in Lalbagh, Tejgaon and Tejgaon industrial area of Dhaka, the release states.
During primary interrogation, the arrestees admitted to being involved in drug use, harassing girls, extortion, blackmailing, and other crimes.
Rab will continue crackdown on criminals based on the information gleaned from the arestees, the release adds.

JERSEY CITY, NJ - An 18-year-old Jersey City man will spend at least 15 years and three months in New Jersey state prison following his sentencing in connection with his role in the December 26, 2018 death of Judane Holmes, 16
On the day of the incident the Jersey City teen was gunned down at approximately 3:25 p.m. in the area of 209 Bidwell Avenue. Members of the Jersey City Police Department arrived to find Holmes at that location with apparent gunshot wounds where he was pronounced dead at the scene
Gleaton and two juvenile co-defendants were arrested and charged approximately a week after the shooting with Gleaton, who during the course of the investigation was identified as the shooter, later waived up from Family Court to the Law Division. On January of 30, 2020, Gleaton pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree aggravated manslaughter in relation to the death of Holmes.
