Baby Jogger City Select 2,
The City Select 2 was released in summer 2021 and replaces the older City Select and City Select LUX strollers. It offers 24 different seating options and is able to convert to a triple stroller by the addition of the glider board (second seat and car seat are sold separately). The stroller is 20% smaller and weighs a little less than the previous models. It also has a great assortment of accessories, including an abdominal bar (included with the Eco Collection version), the second seat, a handmuff and console for the parent.
The large storage basket can accommodate a lot of gear. They also liked how easy the seats reclined and that there plenty of legroom for both children. The brake pedal on the back is easy to reach and use using just one hand. The stroller is bigger and is more difficult to maneuver, but is worth it for parents who enjoy spacious strollers.
Another feature we like is that the City Select 2 is compatible with Baby Jogger, Britax, Graco, Chicco and Maxi-Cosi infant car seats (adapters are available separately). This means you can use a single or double stroller from birth until the time you reach toddlerhood.
The stroller might not be cheap but it's likely to be the only one you ever need. If you are able to afford it, then it is worth the investment. This is especially true when you consider the quality and durability of the design. The finish is gorgeous and the connections to the fabric are strong without being damaged or rumpled. The 5-point harness snaps effortlessly together, and has a few adjustment options and is comfortable for children of any size. The seat cover is machine washable in cold water. Most testers said it was super easy to take off and reattach.
Delta Children LX Side by Side
If you're looking for a dual travel stroller that's easy to carry and fits in tight spaces such as a tight space, the Delta Children LX Side by Side is a great choice. The stroller weighs 20 pounds and has seats that hold kids up to 50 pounds each. The large canopy shields you from sun, wind and rain, and the seats can recline for children' comfort. The stroller is a bit smaller than other strollers we tested and can be opened to a 29-inch width which allows it to fit into doors that are standard 30 inches.
The stroller scored a low grade for ease of use in our test, but that's partly because it's so basic It doesn't have storage bins or deep recline in the seats and the only cup holder is a small plastic cup that is attached to the handlebars. It does have a 5-point harness that has double-rethread buckles which are more comfortable to adjust than the single-rethread buckles on the majority of other strollers.
During the testing, we evaluated how easy it was to turn around, fold, and move the strollers. Folding and unfolding are two of the most crucial features for travel strollers because they typically have limited storage space in the trunk of a car. The strollers that fold easily and in just a few steps, and ones with automatic locks scored higher. Strollers that stand upright when folded and are folded using a single hand also received high scores.
The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 was the easiest to turn and push. The Mountain Buggy Nano took a little more effort, but did well in our tests. The brand new Delta Children LX side by side is extremely light with a an easy-to-fold frame that's as smaller than some of the best umbrella strollers. Its minimalist design and affordable cost make it an excellent option for parents looking for a jogger for travel that is easy to carry, lift and store.
