17 Reasons To Not Ignore Greenpower Mobility
Greenpower Mobility - All-Energy Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles
Greenpower designs manufactures and distributes an entire range of medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicles. This includes transit buses, school cargo buses, buses for cargo, and shuttles.
green power electric mobility scooter is a zero-emission vehicle that has a high degree of customization. It's also fully FTA certified and Buy America compliant. It offers class-leading range, ADA wheelchair provisions, and cargo delivery configurations.

EV Star
GreenPower Motor Company produces a full line of high-floor as well as low-floor all-electric medium and heavy-duty vehicles. The EV Star Cab & Chassis is their most popular vehicle and it can be customized to suit a variety of applications. The platform's design is based on a simple paper that allows for optimum placement of the battery pack and a lower center of gravity. This results in higher payload/range ratios.
The EV Star REEFERX was designed for mid-to last mile refrigerated deliveries and catering applications. The refrigerated truck's class 4 design's one wall structure in the interior and higher insulation levels compared to traditional trucks allow for seamless sanitation, better temperature control and a longer life. The EV Star REEFERX delivers superior cargo capacity and an industry leading payload-to-range ratio for zero emission passenger transport and goods.
GreenPower joined forces with Perrone Robotics in order to equip the EV Star with TONY (To navigate you) autonomous vehicle systems. This will enable fleets to move to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star will also be able to support wireless charging up to 75 kW.
We had the opportunity to test drive the EV9 for a few hours on a local freeway, and found it to be a breeze to drive and comfortable for long distances. The ride is smooth on bumps and ruts, while the EV9 does an excellent job of reducing road noise and wind on the highway. The acceleration is extremely fast and the car has adjustable regenerative braking to enable "one pedal driving" by taking off the accelerator.
The EV9 provides a large range and can be charged in just three hours or less at home, or using any commercial charger. Drivers can choose between two operating modes including eco mode and sports mode. The eco mode prioritizes torque and cruise control and the sport mode increases speed and handling. Both are a lot of fun to drive and provide a unique driving experience for anyone who has not driven an electric vehicle before.
In addition to the EV9, GreenPower has several other electric vehicles, including a multi-purpose all-electric mini bus called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA compliant and can be utilized as an executive shuttle, micro-transit, transit vanpool, bus, or a paratransit vehicle.
GreenPower produces about 10 EV Star buses per month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority. The Jacksonville Transit Authority is replacing their fleet of diesel vehicles with 100 electric cars. With the Biden Administration aiming to electrify schools across the nation, GreenPower plans on ramping production to meet demand. Their EV Star buses are the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS-certified, Buy America compliant, and ADA compliant. This means that they are eligible for federal assistance in transit. Check back as we follow the AV Star on its tour of demonstration later this year. We will be sure to share more details on this innovative EV!
