Next, carefully pry out the battery by lifting the side closest to the hook for the key-ring. Make sure you wear rubber gloves to avoid damaging the clips or electronic contact surfaces.
After the battery has been removed, put the new battery into its socket. Make sure that the positive side is facing up and that it is placed in all the clips. Then slide the cover back down and towards the key-ring loop section until it becomes loose and slides off. Take off the cover to reveal the hidden key blade. This will be used to unlock your vehicle by the driver's side doors when the battery of your key fob is dead or lost.
