Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Made from Dark Stained Burr Walnut and Piano Black veneer, it includes a fluttering 'B' paperweight, a set keys, and a brochure with never-before-seen 1930 8 Litre images.

Bentley estimates that it takes around 500 man-hours to craft and put together the typical Mulsanne. One of the main reasons for that lengthy effort is a deliberate refusal to embrace the latest technology. The Crewe factory workers do not use a machine to space perfectly matched cross stitched leather seats. Instead, they do it by hand. And rather than using the car's built-in sensors to guide it into perpendicular and parallel parking spots, drivers have to do it manually.
At the event, Bentley displayed its Mulliner personalization capabilities using an exclusive example that was the Mulsanne W.O. The Mulsanne W.O. Edition pays homage to the man who founded the company, William Osler Bentley. The 100 limited-edition cars include the key with a special design that shows an image of the 1930 8 Liter's crankshaft.
