Hello, in this story, I want to know how I achieved such dog training skills.

In 2017, I got my first animals. I didn’t know how to train properly, I read courses on the Internet, bought books, watched videos on YouTube. One of the best books I want to highlight is "Click".

Now I occupy the first places in Agility, I am invited to work as a cynologist.

 What advice can I give to beginners?

1) It is best to start training in secluded places where nothing will distract either you or your dog. Gradually, when the classes begin to bear fruit and master the first commands, you can turn on external stimuli so that the pet gets used to working in different conditions.

2) Classes should begin and end only with a good mood. The best indicator of your mood is your dog's mood - keep that in mind.

Thus, for effective training, the most important thing to remember is a certain algorithm, namely:

• give a command
• get an answer in the form of a specific skill
• Reinforce the team with praise.

3) How long does dog training take?

Classes should not be long. It’s worth starting with 10-15 minutes and gradually this time can be set. Do not skimp on praise during training. If the dog loses interest and fatigue increases, the training should be ended. You should not study “until victorious”, it is better to continue the lesson the next day with enhanced strength and good mood.
