11 players including Samsung, Jang Ji-hoon, and Kim Ho-jae are released
The Samsung Lions released 11 players.
On the 25th, Samsung decided not to re-sign pitchers Noh Kun-woo, Park Se-woong, Jang Ji-hoon, Kim Yong-ha, Kim Joon-woo, Maeng Sung-ju, Park Yong-min, infielder Kim Ho-jae, Taehoon Lee, Yoon Jung-hoon, and outfielder Song Joon-seok.
Jang Ji-hoon, who was first nominated by Samsung in 2017, leaves the team after losing 45 ⅓ in 47 games with an 8.14 ERA.
Kim Ho-jae, who only played for Samsung since joining the team in 2018, will also take off his Lions uniform after staying with a batting average of 0.216 (25 hits in 116 at-bats) in 75 games in the 2023 season.
