11 Ways To Completely Redesign Your Item Upgrader

World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Item upgrades can be used to increase the stats of an item. Depending on the type of upgrade you choose, it can increase an item's Rarity or Mark Level and boost additional stats.

Each item has a track to upgrade it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next one by a certain amount.

Item Level

The value of an item's basic stats increase when it is upgraded. This is the sum of all of its upgraded perks (attack magic attack, attack defense). Upgrades can be expensive, depending on who you hire and what you decide to do. This is due to the variety of perks that need to be altered to upgrade an item.

It can also be used as a gating requirement when queueing for dungeons, raids and scenarios. It is also used to limit the amount of PvP gear players are able to wear as PvP is restricted at lower levels. The average level of the item is listed on the character sheet.

When deciding to purchase or sell equipment, players can compare the level of an item. It's a measure of the item's condition and its quality. The level of an item can be used to evaluate items when looking at the inventory of a vendor.

The item level can be checked by pressing the ALT key on a PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will show the full description of the item, including its level. You can also locate it by hovering over an item and typing /itemlevel in chat.

There are several theories about how the calculation of the item's level is done. One theory is that the level is a numerical value derived from a formula that calculates how much an item's stats are worth. It considers that different benefits are valued differently and that gems found in sockets boost the value of the item. This process can result in a calculated amount for the item's level, which is typically close to Blizzard's actual level of the item.

However, this is not the only factor that affects an item's ilvl, as the level of the region the item is dropped into can change the value of its stats, for instance by adding an additional level to its haste rating or crit rating. This means that items that drop at higher levels will have higher the ilvl than items from lower level instances.

Item Stats

The stats of an item are a major element in what makes or breaks an item for players. The game makes use of a lot of them in various ways to encourage players to play with multiple weapons, and prevent one weapon from being "the most effective." The stat mods on a weapon boost the base stats. These stat mods are then increased by a player's skill.

Upgrades to the item add by increasing certain stats on the item. The cost of upgrades is determined by the rarity of the item. For instance, a grey or white item can only be upgraded once, while an item with rare tiers will be upgraded several times at higher prices.

Affixes are another way to change an item's stats. They are stat boosts that can be added by the player to an item. Affixes can provide the item additional damage, add a special ability to the item (such as reviving dead or reducing the cooldowns), or make the item unique by putting an exclusive name to the item.

Currently, all affixes can be changed by selecting them from the upgrade window and pressing the green button using the arrows that circle. This will cost a certain amount in gold and items. These can be used as upgrade gauges, just like the other methods of rerolling.

In addition to rerolling affixes, players can select which of the available stats to be kept on an item after it is upgraded. The possible ranges of stats for an item are determined by the item level, but all items are guaranteed to have at minimum one stat within that range, unless it is an item that is unique or an item that is a God roll from a boss in a raid.

Another thing that could be changed is the option to upgrade equipment without having to reroll the attachments, or pick which stats to enhance. Like base equipment, it would have to be done per item, and the item comparison interface will not show all possible stats simultaneously.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player increases the probability of obtaining items and the properties that are generated by loot, and the intensity of these properties. However, it does not directly impact damage or the ability to upgrade items. It provides players with the chance to upgrade their equipment earlier in the game. This is particularly beneficial in early game runs because players tend to put weapon scaling and defenses above raw damage gains.

In addition to influencing the discovery of items, Luck also increases the chances of success when upgrading items using the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall chance of upgrading that increases with each item level and can be further increased by using an anti-material, such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.

Weapons, shields, and armor can be made or spawn by using the Luck property, with an initial value of 40. These items can be augmented with golden ingots or spined leather (depending on their material type) to add another 40 luck or to boost the Luck of an item up to 140.

Certain items, such as the Hollow-infused weapon, can also be equipped to increase the damage of any skill that causes damage by five percent. These items can be bought at the store, or they can be crafted using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Item upgrades are expensive and not all upgrades will be successful. However, there are some cash shop items that allow players to increase their success rate or prevent themselves from losing an item in the event that the upgrade fails.

The rate of success of an upgrade is shown in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the chance of completing the upgrade successfully and can be enhanced by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. The probability of success can only be increased as much, and the chance that an upgrade will fail can't be greater than 100%..

The performance of an can be affected by the Luck of that item. All items have an overall success rate of 25 percent and each item that has Luck increases this chance by 5%.

Note that item upgrades are rendered above the items in the inventory therefore enchantment glints and other effects can be obstructed by the overlays. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
