Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
Now is your chance to own a robotic vacuum. CNET's best-rated models will be on sale during Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with discounts up to 57%..
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its running time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.
1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most intelligent robot vacuum to date. Its biggest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste that most other robots can't avoid (and often plough right through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you photos of an object it encounters to let you know to avoid it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop we have ever tested. It cleans up dirt and spills effortlessly leaving no trace it was there. It's simple to control via the iRobot Home app which allows you to schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't vacuum areas you don't want it to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can start and stop it using your voice.
The design is also more appealing than the other models. It has an elegant, top piece that looks like a toy rather than a loud and obnoxious robot. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt removal System is also self-emptying which can cut down on cleaning time.
In our tests, the j7+ was quick to clean up dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in its place instead of scattering it across the floor. It was able to capture small gravel, sand and even a little grit. The majority of robots cannot achieve this feat. It did all this without getting tangled in our pet's hair.
While it's not quite as efficient as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs, the j7+ is still a solid option for those who need both mopping and a vacuum in their home. It's not expensive and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly.
Although the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly however we've found it be less reliable than other applications that work with robotic cleaners. It can take a long time to download updates, and often it's hard to determine whether the update actually working until you see it in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking to purchase a vacuum that does more than just clean floors, the best choice is probably one that is a hybrid. These bots are equipped with a water tank so they can vacuum and mop at the same time. They also come with a variety of additional features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance, and the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. The negative is that they tend to be expensive at retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.
Roborock makes some of our most loved robot vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. This is their least expensive auto-empty model. While it's not equipped with some of the premium features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent choice if you're willing to compromise a bit in order to save hundreds of dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeably gentle around obstacles like wall legs and table legs and walls, which makes it a great option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is a place where many robot vacuums that are less expensive aren't able to meet. The Q5+'s navigation is excellent, with few misses along walls and in corners.
Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled by a few buttons on the device or through the Roborock app. Through the app, you can start and stop cleaning and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and modify your home map, or re-label rooms.
If you opt for the Q5+ model, it ships with a new auto-empty dock specifically designed to make this robot easy to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once it's installed, the process of emptying the bin is relatively simple. It has a large LCD screen that is very useful for setting up schedules or changing settings. This feature isn't essential for most people however it can help you effectively keep the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum and mop that's impressively clever in its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. automatic vacuum and functionality are some of the best on the market however it's expensive.
Its base station looks good and is easily hidden when not in use, and its dimensions are quite small. The station's main selling point is the fact that it automates a variety of tasks, chores and functions that other robots have to leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot fully charged and clean.
Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive and efficient, too. It's the only robovacs that I've tested that do an excellent job of picking up debris on plain floors, and is not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly in the area of navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable and reliable as other robovacs, which means it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the home. It also can't climb stairs like other models and doesn't come with a dock to create a clean zone for plush carpets.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent choice for those who want a vacuum robot that can do it all.

If you're looking to cut costs or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of other options available. Many of the eufy models cost substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for example is a bit more expensive, but offers more features, including stair climbing and a full-function Dock, with the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on plain floors carpets with low pile, and even high-pile ones.
4. eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy, an Anker company has a proven track record of creating robot vacuums that strike the right balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for carpets and hard flooring, and mopping functions at an affordable price. It's easy to set up, just attach one of the side brushes and then turn it on. Then plug in your charging dock. The app takes you through the steps needed to connect it to Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. The dock should be located near an outlet and have plenty of room to move.
The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be exact, which means it can be placed under couches and other furniture with a low clearance. Its design is less ostentatious when compared to rival models. It features a sleek black finish with three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs an area in a spiral pattern for two minutes), Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.
The way in which the G30 cleans is what sets it apart from its competitors. It uses an integrated map to draw an image of the immovable items that are in its path. It keeps track of what it has already cleaned and the areas it was unable to access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning the area it left.
The eufy G30 has its flaws, though. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower cost of operation. It charges faster, has the same battery life and performs better on unfinished carpet or floors with low pile. It has a larger dust bin, which does not require more emptying. It also has boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust canister does not require emptying as often and it has less trouble with bulky materials such as cereal.
