10yearstime is a calculator for the later cost of a repeating spend. It is not a bank, a budget app, an investment product, or financial advice.

Who we are

10yearstime is published on Google Play under the developer name 10yearstime. For privacy questions, contact the developer through the app’s Google Play store listing (the support email shown there).

No 10yearstime account

You do not create a 10yearstime account. We do not ask for your name, email, or phone number in the app as part of ordinary use.

What stays on your device

Habits, cut-backs, History, and calculator settings are stored locally on this device, including:

• Saved habits and named cut-backs
• Calculation / Scan history, if you use History
• Currency and calculator settings
• A first-launch timestamp for the 7-day trial
• Whether this device has unlocked Scan, Cut back, Saved, and History (trial, a Google Play one-off, or a successful friend unlock)

Clear history in the app deletes calculation / Scan history on this device. It does not delete saved habits or cut-backs. Uninstalling the app removes local app data. Android backup of this app is turned off, so these values are not sent to Google Backup.

Camera and Scan

Scan uses the camera to read a price in a gold box on the screen. Optical character recognition runs on this device. In ordinary Scan use we do not run a 10yearstime account that uploads the camera feed. Frames are not stored in our cloud and are not used for advertising. You can refuse camera permission and still type a price in Calculate, which stays free.

Purchases

Premium is a one-time unlock through Google Play Billing (not a subscription). Google handles card and payment data under Google’s terms. We do not receive your full card number. After a successful purchase the app stores a local flag on this device so Scan, Cut back, Saved, and History stay open. Restore purchase uses your Google account. Calculate stays free without paying.

Optional friend unlock

If you redeem an optional friend unlock, and that feature is enabled, the app may perform a remote redemption check (a yes/no against a counter). That check does not include your name, email, or camera images. It needs a network connection. Calculate still works offline.

Internet and third parties

The app may use a network connection for installing or updating from Google Play, Google Play Billing (Unlock and Restore), and an optional friend-unlock redemption check if enabled. The Google Play platform is a third party. Google’s privacy policy applies to Play accounts, billing, and distribution.

Children

10yearstime is a general lifestyle calculator. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We do not sell personal data

We do not sell personal data. There is no advertising SDK and no third-party analytics SDK in the app.

Not financial advice

Figures in the app are illustrations of opportunity cost if money were invested. They are not forecasts, product recommendations, or financial advice. Returns are not guaranteed.

Your choices

• Camera permission: device settings
• History: Privacy → Clear history in the app
• Uninstall: removes local app data

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
