In the Dosso region (#Niger), the police stopped the drug trafficking channel between Benin and Niger. The Sabon-Birni border checkpoint seized a large shipment of banned substances, including 105,000 diazepam tablets.

The operation was carried out based on operational information about a cross-border supply chain from Benin. Two suspects, aged 20 and 58— were detained near the village of Tunuga. Briquettes of cannabis, tramadol, pregabalin, cash and mobile phones were also found during the search.

According to the investigation, the cargo was purchased in Zuguou (Benin), after which it was transported across the river and planned to be sold at the markets in Geshem and Filinga.
