10 Things Everybody Hates About Item Upgrading
World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The item upgrade allows players to boost the gear rating of an item by up 700 points, and then give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you bring them to the kiln.
Certain items are worth upgrading due to their unique stats. (For instance an excellently rolled breakpoint armor used in melee PvP). Other items, like weapons don't really change after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth the effort.
Weapons
Weapons can be upgraded to improve their numeric stats such as the chance to crit, attack damage as well as PvE and PvP damage. Weapons also have a flat bonus that increases the damage they deal per second. Additionally some weapons come with a set bonus that activates when three or more of the same weapon are equipped on a single unit. In certain instances, this bonus could add up to more than the amount of damage that a weapon can sustain on its own.
The cost of upgrading a weapon varies on its rarity and level. For instance, an upgrade to a +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade the gun will increase until it needs more Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.
Upgraded weapons can also alter their base stats. This is generally a positive factor, but it could also have negative effects. Upgrades can render items unusable, unless you are exceptionally lucky.
Items of armor can also be upgraded to improve their performance. In the case of a helm or chest, this will increase its base defense while gloves and belts improve their required strength and dexterity. Armor also offers an option to reroll its Enhanced Defense%, meaning that it can sometimes change its roll to a lower value.
The upgrade template for a weapon displays the new stats that it will gain when upgraded, along with their relative values. This means that the weapon will gain an attack damage of 3% if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However the 3% does not mean that it will be hit 3 times less often, since it is an absolute statistic.
Rerolling a weapon is possible by pressing the green button on the item menu using the arrows that are circling. This will reroll the item and alter its stats, however, it will not reset the weapon's level nor bind to account status.
Armor
Adding a few upgrades to your armor can make huge differences in your capacity to withstand. Certain sets offer massive boosts to poison or curse, fire, and magic resistance, making it easier to navigate through tough terrain. In general, the more defense you have for your character, the greater health you'll get from each point. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade your armor.
To upgrade your armor, head to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains in the game and in order to unlock each fountain, you have to complete a side quest that involves the Stable Trotters. Once you've done the main side quest and have completed the fountain that corresponds and then you can talk to any Great Fairy to open up the menu for upgrading your armor.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels, and the amount of materials and Rupees required to complete each level will differ. In general, you'll be looking at anything from three to ten Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees for the first upgrade, then anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Horns for each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, as an example, can be upgraded to a +5 defense rating, which allows you to remain competitive in cold environments with a large group of adversaries. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other hand, can be upgraded to +20 defense so that you're able to withstand a rout with friends.
It's important to note that armor cannot be upgraded in the same way as weapons, so you'll need to focus on upgrading it for physical power if you're Warrior or Spell Power when you're Mage. You should also save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor you will still be wearing at the end of the story, such as the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you wear in the final boss fight The Monter Parts Merchant Mask.
By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town, you can unlock some perks on your armor. Generally, you'll want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer however, it could be beneficial to have a few improvements to the chest armor and helmets to let you stealthy battle some monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that when consumed by a player, give the player with a temporary effect for a short period of time. There are five types of potions with different effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to enhance their effectiveness. You can also increase the effects of certain potions by adding glowstone dust and redstone.
Potion upgrades require a certain amount of XP. This can be earned by making them on a crafting table or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. The cost of upgrading varies based on the type of potion and the item's rarity as well as Mark Level.
To upgrade a potion, click right on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open an GUI where you can choose the potion you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they'll produce when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time and their XP will be added to the total XP you currently have.
Once a potion is upgraded, it will not degrade until you use it again, or break the bottle it is stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to change the name of the potion.
Version 1.7.2 introduced a few modifications to the mechanics of potions. For example the splash potions now have an average duration of zero,08 seconds (this is not the same as 22.5 seconds displayed on the hover display of the item). The potion table can now be made using four Wood Planks and two Glass. This allows it to be utilized by players playing Survival and Bedrock. Unlike the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions can't be combined in cauldrons. The same applies to using a potion in the cauldron that is filled. This will draw out the potion and refill the bottle.
There are also simmering potions that are made using dragon breath and splash potions. Similarly, a lingering potions can be enhanced by adding redstone. The table of potion ingredients is rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions are also added, for instance, the potion of leaping as well as decomposition.

Trinkets
A trinket could be an ornamental item that is small, cheap or piece of jewelry. It could be a reference to an object or decoration that serves a purpose but is not particularly important such as a tiny thimble. In some cultures, a trinket is a way to show affection or friendship between family members.
Trinkets can be upgraded by players in addition to weapons, armor, and potions. These can be upgraded by going to an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate currency. Unlike item upgrader are able to be exchanged at will without losing their status.
The upgrade vendors are located in major cities and in the capital of each zone, as well as in in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are bought with tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets.
The upgrade of a trinket can be an economical alternative to buying new ones. A player can upgrade a trinket with as little 12 tokens. The new trinket comes with the same level of base as the old trinket however, it will also come with an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.
Trinkets can be upgraded when they're no longer needed and allows players to increase their power and worth over time. They can be traded between players, making them an alternative to gold.
In general players should make upgrades to their top-priority items first. This usually means the best-in-slot items for their class, followed by their secondaries and then other items of gear will not be replaced soon (for instance rings or cloaks). Players should also consider their class's preferred stats when selecting which items to upgrade. For example, if Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tankers it is recommended that they upgrade their chest, helm, shoulders, and belt.
Once they have become useless trinkets are able to be upgraded to a greater level. The new trinket comes with an additional bonus of 1. Re-upgrading will destroy the trinket unless it is salvaged with the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a higher tier salvage tool. This makes upgrading trinkets more expensive than other upgrades, however it is still cheaper than buying an entirely new trinket.
