10 Steps to Establishing a Poker Room
1. You will need a place to host your home games. (My church, my store, etc.) Find a convenient location and get there. Set up a play area, and get ready to deal! Make sure the chairs are square. 3. Pick out a cheap poker deck. This is more of a dollar-store decision. However, you can still find decently priced cards at your local paper store. Like poker fabric, you can get these at almost any size cheap. This will save you a few dollars.
4. Grab your chips, and cards. You can buy a small amount of cardboard for as little as $1.00 if the price is in the paper and at theaids. Cheap cards and plastic chips are also available if you're looking to save money. While you can use any cheap material, you need something durable.
5. As I said, make sure you get suited poker cards. A stretchedpaper (100%) is the best material. If you are unsure, start with paper. Yes, you can use staples to trim the paper to the desired size.
6. Fold the cards by rolling them out to the edges. This will create a raised area you can use to staple the card. Use a staple gun or stamps, whatever you prefer. Put the card on the surface you want to seal and trim.
7. Now, over-cut the edge off the card using a knife, and use your sealant to seal the end off. Add your tape or staples to the top of the card.
8. You can repeat the process with the other card. Once you have covered both cards, remove the extra paper from the card. It should be moved to the edge of your table and stapled in tight (1/4"). Pat the card down straight in the middle.
9. Repeat this process until all the cards you want to swap have been applied.
10. Your poker cards should now have a nice smooth surface. You can wipe the cards with damp rags before you go.
11. Saturate the cards with a cleaner, in case you picked up some speckles during the application process.

13. Sear the ends of your cards with a diagonal saw or very smallhatchet. You don't need to get it perfect. Once you are able to get theosition correct, the felt will flow right off the cards.
14. Use stamps to transform the cards. Use a stamp to imprint on the opposite side of the card if you have a pattern that isn’t straight or flush. Use a glue gun. You can press the felt to bond the opposite side.
15. Once all cards have been placed give them a good soak in water. Mix a little soap with water.
16. Cover the cards with a damp cloth once you're done. If you want, you can use asoft cloth to dry the cards. Be sure to not let the cards get damaged.
17. Now you can play with the cards.
