10 Places To Find Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.
He evaluates and tests cleaning equipment, with a focus on mopping and robot vacuum combos. These multitaskers are an excellent option for those who wish to get mopping off their to-do list. They are equipped with impressive mapping capabilities and obstacles-avoiding capabilities, and they can even wash and refill their own mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
This is the model you need to select if you're looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than the other models and makes it easier to maneuver into tight spaces or under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in robot vacuums. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It will even return to the dock to top up its battery part way through an efficient.
It's very fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and the hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in one go. The suction motor's 8,000pa makes short work of picking up dirt, droppings and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects rugs and the dual side brush helps to remove debris from corners.
The mopping efficiency is less impressive, though not by a lot. The mop rotates quickly and uses 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a bit more than other robots. This is useful when getting into difficult corners or on baseboards. Those same front arms can also be employed to clean larger objects, such as broken toys and fallen books.
Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've tried. It doesn't create the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for its mopping function and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's easy to install and performs well however, it's something you'll need to be aware of when you purchase this vacuum solely for the reason of mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it an ideal option for homeowners looking for an efficient, flexible, and customizable cleaning machine.
The device comes with a powerful cleaning system that incorporates LiDAR sensor technology and an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the home and also detect furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean effectively and intelligently. More about the author results in a thorough, consistent clean that is also quite fast.
In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads are capable of reaching a wide range of surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other hard to reach spots. The side brush can be stretched to reach the floor close to the walls and other fixtures. In addition the mop pads can be cleaned and dried to prevent the build-up of dust and reduce the odors.
App-based customization is yet another noteworthy feature. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the suction intensity and choose an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes which will determine how quickly it can move around your home. You can also choose to disable the side brush to prevent damaging rugs and carpets.
The device has a high price tag but comes with a large selection of smart features. It is important to note, however, that the device will incur periodic costs in the form of mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For instance, the brushroll will need to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter will need to be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad needs to be replaced every three to six months.
The robot vacuum that mops is rated highly on Amazon and offers a wide variety of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also comes with an energy button that doubles as a 'Clean' button' as well as a 'Home button to send it home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank and washes and drys its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a professional with a lot of work or someone who wants an organized home that doesn't require hours doing chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a good choice. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation and long battery life allow you to keep a clean home with little effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a 2-in-1 mop and vacuum. It is capable of vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot is divided into two parts which include a dry bin and water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping unit that includes an elastomer pad. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may appear a bit dated but they're a good thing because that you don't need to worry about changing disposable bags or refueling the tank with water.
The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature was its accurate floorplan that it uses to create an outline for cleaning. It was easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option to set "No-Go zones" as well as virtual barriers, which can help to keep certain areas of your house from being swept with a mop.
We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up hair of pets. It was able to collect many of the hair our cats shed, and even got into the corners and crevices of our stairs where other robots struggled. It was fairly quiet and had some pleasant jingles that let you know when it was about to start or finished its work.
Its main drawbacks were its simplistic app and the need to swap between the modules to switch between mopping and vacuuming. The app can't contain multiple maps, which can be a problem when you live in a house with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those who want an intelligent robot that can perform both vacuuming and mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our review, but it comes with some distinctive features that are worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni is notable for its huge dock that serves as a charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses the 2.5-liter dustbin and an 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.
The base comes with a couple of buttons for control, which allow you to manually start cleaning tasks and then recall the robot or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Press two of the buttons to switch on a child lock that is a great option for parents concerned about children playing with the vacuum.
The X1 Omni, like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to identify obstacles and furniture in its path. It will avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
The X1 can be prone to become stuck when it is entangled in a hazard, such as a power cable tangled over a rug. It won't function until you remove it manually. This was a rare occurrence however, it was a bit frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert on its app.
The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad, except that mopping pads don't get cleaned or dried between use. This can lead to mildew and mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a big change from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing view in a market that is dominated by bulky boxy models.
