If you're seeking a buggy to run around in or a nifty stroller to tackle strolls around the neighborhood, three-wheeled buggies provide great mobility. Their compact design makes them easy to manoeuvre even in tight spaces.
For an easy ride, opt for a pram with air-filled tyres and look for models with a 360deg front swivel wheel. They are prone, however to punctures. Make sure you have an emergency repair kit.
Sturdy frame
The latest figures have been released showing that the three-wheeled vehicle - a symbol of the noughties of more money than sense is in a decline. Four-wheelers have replaced them, which are more versatile and easy to drive, while also looking fashionable.

MFM reviewer Kath tried the buggy out with the newborn baby and a toddler and found it extremely robust. It was able to handle grass, cobbles and rough pavements, aswell as dirt tracks and kerbs. She said "it feels sturdy to push and is very stable when going over difficult terrain. Its tyres (which are inflatable so need occasional pumping) offer built-in suspension that was very comfortable for my kids.
Another thing to take into consideration is the size and shape. You want the seat to be large enough to allow your child to be comfortable and allow them to lie down. Some three-wheel buggies have the option of lying flat that allows the child to face you, while others only allow a parent-facing one.
The Roma Atlas is a great alternative for off-road or wet walks. This buggy is suitable for a single child as early as birth and can be modified to accommodate two children as your family grows. These buggies, as per MFM's Kath, have larger wheels which according to her "perform well on gravel roads, grass and market town cobbles" and are able to go up or down kerbs. They also come with a suspension system that in her words "smoothes out bumps very effectively".
Buggies with larger wheels may be quite wide, and can be difficult to fit into narrow spaces. This is an issue when you're using it for an exercise bike or to be able to get through doorways that are narrow when you're out and about. The majority of models come with compact folding options, which permit you to take off the front wheels and store them in a more compact manner.
Easy to maneuver
A three-wheel buggy can be more comfortable to drive with a child. The way in which they are built means that the front wheels turn at a quick pace and are incredibly maneuverable and are ideal for difficult terrain like cobbles, parks, bumpy pavements and dirt tracks.

The only drawback to this amazing maneuverability is that the larger wheels of the 3 wheel buggy might make it difficult to squeeze into tight spaces. This is something you should keep in mind when your home is an urban area. If this is a problem then a 4-wheeler might be a better option for you.
