Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrades can sometimes increase the power of a piece of equipment and sometimes even its extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the number of random augmentations used.
For example, the elite shield for racial discrimination Razortail is commonly upgraded for its lightning absorb ability in PvP or to provide additional defenses to missile-based designs in PvM. This makes it more tradeable than the non-upgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens allow you to reroll a purchased item, like armor, weapon, or ring. The item is replaced by an identical item however with different bonuses. Reroll tokens can be a cost-effective method to upgrade equipment. They don't keep the original level of the item and any money wasted won't get compensated.

The survivors can acquire reroll tokens through several means such as the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. You can also find them in crates and chests, or buy them from the stores for $150 each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter an attribute of the equipment for example, increasing its damage or granting it a brand new stat.
Players can roll equipment with three attributes, physical power, spell power and health. Upgrades to physical power can increase the damage of melee and weapons attack and spell power increase the damage of mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades give the player an extra health.
There are three types of Reroll tokens: upgrade rare, and legendary. Each upgrade elevates an item to a higher quality, with the requirement of a higher-level reroll token in order to produce it. Upgrades require a standard item. Rare upgrades require an item that is either unique or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.
The marker for rerolling, unlike markers or tokens that are placed on action spaces remains on the space until the next Success is to be rerolled. This allows you to not waste upgrades.
Blueprints appear as envelopes at the start of each Preparation Phase and are opened by grabbing them using Interact. When they are opened, they will display a description and icon for the Ingredient or Appliance. Blueprints can be exchanged for a new appliance or ingredient in the restaurant's shop for a small amount of money.

Growthstones

When the requirements are met, the player can then click the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. This will increase the item's level by a specific percentage. The upgrade process can take between a few seconds and minutes, depending on the rarity of the item.
The upgrade process also is risk-free and will not impact the durability of the item. This makes it an excellent method for players to gain a significant advantage in combat without putting stress on their bank account. Clicking on the "transfer tab" players can transfer their experience and progress of an upgraded piece of gear onto a new piece of gear.
New players may find it difficult to obtain Growth Stones. There are a variety of ways to acquire these stones. You can complete contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, obtain them from Equipment Stone Seal Book or get them from reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. Additionally players can also break down higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.
Leveling
Leveling is an option that lets players increase the base stats of weapons armor, helms and trinkets. The Upgrade Station allows you to combine an item with upgrade materials and then pay a fee in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The process will use up the upgrade materials and grant the item an increased level, which gives the item an additional boost in that area. This process continues until the item reaches its maximum level.
Items that have upgraded stats will display an icon of blue next to their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments can't be added to more than one item at the same time. Each upgrade component requires the purchase of a certain amount of items and a minimum equipment level.
The Upgrade Station is divided into two slots. On the left, players can add items to be upgraded. On the right, a preview shows what the gear will look like at its next level. When players have enough materials, pressing the yellow arrow will start the upgrade process.
A piece of equipment can be upgraded a maximum of five times. Each time it is upgraded, the base stats of the item will be increased by a small amount. The highest level for an item is 19.
When an item is at its maximum capacity, it will no longer have the option of upgrading. Likewise, once an item is on the level of a specific upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer) upgrades to that track will have discounts.
Upgrade components are a form of equipment that can slot into armors, weapons trinkets, tools for gathering and weapons to give an extra effect or attribute bonus while the equipment is equipped. They can be purchased through vendors, looted or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, but doing so will destroy the previous upgrade, except for glyphs which can be removed and replaced at will.
Requirements
Upgrades to items allow players to increase the stats of certain armors and weapons they already have. The requirements for upgrading an item will vary depending on its type however, you'll generally require Dilithium as well as a number Upgrade Tokens.
Upgrades to items can be slotted into equipment set pieces or weapons to provide added effects or a higher quality item. These upgrades can come from many sources, including crafting, purchasing at the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting from raids and bosses. Once an upgrade component has been inserted into an item, it can't be removed and substituted without restriction, however the glyphs that are used in gathering tools can be swapped without limitation.
Upgrades can increase the Mark Level or Rarity. Additionally, some upgrade components have additional modifiers that can increase the stats of an item.
For instance, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" increases base defense, and adds an extra 20% chance of blocking. The DPS "Wildfire" however increases damage to weapons.
Upgrades can be beneficial for certain items, but not because they boost stats. They are more valuable for the players if they can get the perfect roll. For instance, a perfectly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly valued in the melee PvP community and can be worth 20-50x more than the non-upp'd version.
The game will show you the requirements when you select the upgrade component to be incorporated into the item. The game will display the requirements required when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item.
Once you've met the required conditions for upgrading, the game will place the item in your inventory and the progress bar will be updated to indicate how close to completing it. You can also check the status of an upgrade by going to any item upgrader NPC.
