Volvo drivers love the remote control features of their key fob. They can lock and unlock their vehicle or start the motor and even locate it via an app for smartphones.
Put the key fob face up on an uncluttered surface. Find the button to release it. Place a coin in between the cover of the fob and the fob, then carefully pull it up.
Locking the Door

Utilizing a fingernail to carefully remove the cover from the back of the key fob. The button should be underneath the cover on an angle near the edge of the body. You can remove it by sliding it downwards and to the right. The cover will break loose, and then slide off, revealing the manual blade! If you're still unable to locate the button, search the newly revealed manual key access to find if there is a hidden slot or lever.
Close the Windows
One of the features that is hidden that is not visible on Volvo key fobs is the ability to open all windows in a matter of seconds with them. This is a great feature when trying to squeeze into tight parking spaces or just want to breathe fresh air while driving.
Press and hold the unlock button on your Volvo remote control for four seconds. This will lower the windows as well as the sunroof, should you have one. After you've finished using the vehicle, you can shut all the windows by pressing the lock key for four seconds.
You can also use the key fob to turn on your car's panic alarm. It will sound an intense, enthralling roar that can scare off thieves and allow you to return home in peace after a night out. This feature is handy when you live in a dangerous location or wish to ensure the safety of your family while away from home.
Opening the Tailgate
Volvo's key fob comes with many useful features. They are great if you're overwhelmed with shopping or helping your kids pack their sports equipment after practice.
For instance, if have the Hands-Free Power Liftgate with logo projection and adjustable height (if equipped), you can open it using the key fob. It is possible to open the liftgate by pressing the button, and then close it using the same button.
