Volvo drivers love the remote control features of their key fob. They can lock and unlock their vehicle or start the motor and even locate it via an app for smartphones.

Press and hold the unlock button on your Volvo remote control for four seconds. This will lower the windows as well as the sunroof, should you have one. After you've finished using the vehicle, you can shut all the windows by pressing the lock key for four seconds.

You can also use the key fob to turn on your car's panic alarm. It will sound an intense, enthralling roar that can scare off thieves and allow you to return home in peace after a night out. This feature is handy when you live in a dangerous location or wish to ensure the safety of your family while away from home.

Opening the Tailgate

Volvo's key fob comes with many useful features. They are great if you're overwhelmed with shopping or helping your kids pack their sports equipment after practice.

For instance, if have the Hands-Free Power Liftgate with logo projection and adjustable height (if equipped), you can open it using the key fob. It is possible to open the liftgate by pressing the button, and then close it using the same button.
