However unlike the i7+ or other top-rated robots we evaluated the i3+ doesn't have a feature for avoiding obstacles which means it can get stuck on things such as socks or power cords and it may have trouble traversing transitions across surfaces like hardwood to rug.
iRobot recommends clearing areas in which the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, including clearing out any clutter or toys it may encounter. It's also a good idea to keep the bin and filter clean so they aren't clogged by dirt. If the i3+'s internal bin is empty or the battery is depleted, it returns to the docking station, and it automatically takes the dirt out of the docking station's external dustbin. Then it continues cleaning where it left off. The i3+ EVO's battery lasts for approximately an hour and a half continuous use, and takes around three hours to fully recharge.

In our tests the i7+ was quicker and more maneuverable than our top choice which was the eufy RoboVac G30, and it picked up large pieces of pet hair from all surface kinds, including carpeting. Its greatest advantage over the Eufy is its self-emptying garbage bin that eliminates the main sources of maintenance and lowers the cost of recurring maintenance.
We were also impressed with the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot to start or stop cleaning sessions and also to move around the room, and to vacuum a particular area. Connecting the i7+ to these services was easy and straightforward through the iRobot Home app. When connected, we were able to give the i7+ voice commands like "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s settings and monitoring its performance.

This tiny Dyson model is an athletic car in a sea of vacuums with cords that feel like minivans and buses. It's powerful and has features to replace a stand-up vacuum in the majority of households and can fit in well next to the coffee table or the bookshelf, where you can move it around like the magic tool.
The V10 is powered with seven cells of energy-dense Lithium-ion batteries that can provide power without fading for 60 minutes. Its sophisticated whole-machine filtration system removes allergens, and then releases cleaner air back into your home. However, it did not do particularly well with taller objects like cords and socks, which was disappointing.
