In this work, we propose to further enhance the thermoelectric performance of phosphorene using the strain-induced band convergence. The effect of the uniaxial strain on the thermoelectric properties of phosphorene was investigated by using the first-principles calculations combined with the semiclassical Boltzmann theory.
There were several manufacturers, Rietveld, hish cabinet maker Gerard van de Groenekan and now Cassina. Even after Gerrit Rietveld died, Gerard v.d. Groenekan made several chairs. V.d. Groenekan was Rietvelds carpenter and he made most his chairs after the first few. This is for an important pair of chairs designed by Rietveld, made by Gerard van de Groenekan 1960. These 2 chairs are made of elm wood and solid brass bolds and nuts. The chairs are in amazing condition with only minimal wear due to age and usage. These chairs are still preserving the original and authentic patina because they are in pristine condition. Provenance: these chairs were purchased by previous owner Dhr Leuven on auction in 1983 where several other pieces by Gerard van de Groenekan were on auction and they were also made in 1960. These chairs have been in his possession until 2010 when we purchased them. No further provenance is known but we have been able to trace back the age of the chairs to 1960 as chairs were brand marked after Rietvelds death in 1964, these examples are unmarked.
of literally bentwood skeletons, covered in canvas and occasionally reinforced with whalebone. stretched the tensile and loadbearing capacities of the wood to the utmost, and clearly this chair is an adaptation of the principle learnt for these primitive exercises in aerodynamics - the flow of stress through load-bearing members from tight grouping to a wide splay. In the bentwood prototype, the points where the lines met - on the ground and half way up the back - were bound with cane. In the present model there are single screws visible at each of these points. other change from the original structure is the tightening of the curve where the back leg tube leaves the floor. This makes the legs more vertical and considerably less graceful. The seat is a quite distinct unit, placed within the structural web of this linear chair. modified tractor saddle with contoured padding and an intricately tailored leather covering, and is beautiful inThis remains a most elegant chair, and hows no sign of looking dated after the almost half century
