I remember a lot of these incidents and it brings back memories . Enjoyed the book throughout and no fantasy stories like you get in a lot of the west ham etc books of ten beating... This is like an unedited diary. It's repetitive and doesn't really give any real insight into the tribal nature of hooliganism. Would have benefitted from an editor. Only purchased it because I am an avid collector of this genre. I feel for the author a bit because the publisher has clearly let him down and not even gone to the trouble of... But the force insists it was kept accidentally - as it was concealed in his phone holder. Rod Rhoden, 43, who wrote a book about football hooliganism, had his club card, phone, and bank card taken off him by officers after he and a friend were arrested on suspicion of robbery in September. Police informed both men in December that no further action was being taken against them in relation to the robbery, the Manchester Evening News reports. Since then Mr Rhoden’s solicitors, Burton Copeland, have been trying without success to retrieve his belongings from Greater Manchester Police. The police reckoned the car had been seen near the scene of a robbery in Rochdale . “I was taken to a police station and interviewed.
I have not done anything wrong and knew nothing about any robbery.” The vehicle the men were sat in was a hire vehicle Mr Rhoden’s friend had leased. “Since December when the police said no action was being taken against me my solicitors have been calling and emailing the police to get my stuff back. I still love going to the games and take my oldest son, who is 22. “The last time I was in trouble for football was before he was born. “I don’t drink, and don’t do drugs.
