Position OverviewProvides service to residential and commercial clients by applying heat treatment to affected areas and spaces. Completes detailed reports of treatment areas, conditions, and progress. Applies heat treatment (130 degree and above) to residential and commercial spaces according to schedule, instructions, safety procedures, and as needed based on service requests Works in partnership with another Bed Bug Heat Specialists to treat affected spaces Sets up, adjusts, and breaks down heating equipment prior to and after treatments Assesses treatment area and progress throughout process Documents treatment conditions, issues and resolutions for client: includes detailing temperatures, issues, cold spaces and movement of objects/furniture within treatment area Drives company vehicle to customers’ houses or places of business Calls customers to confirm scheduled services. Maintains vehicle and equipment in clean and proper operating condition.
Assists in maintaining cleanliness of facility. Cross train on other areas of pest control as needed and assigned by the manager, when not performing heat treatments. Education and Experience Requirements High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. License and/or certification as required by federal, state or local government Requires extensive local travel and some overnight travel. Valid, permanent driver’s license from state of residence and a clean driving record per company standards are required. Must be 21 years of age by date of hire. DOT certification helpful, but not required. Able to obtain within 30 days of hire. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to be exposed to extreme heat conditions at or above 130 degrees for short periods of time (3-5 minutes) Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals.
