Does anyone know which brand and what type of mattress they use? They are so comfy as well as all of the bed linens. I guess I could email the hotel but they will probably just say "you can buy them from us for $$$$$$$$). There is a store in Wynn that sells it. I also saw a website link to where Wynn sells it as well. I believe the mattress is made by Sealy to spec for Wynn. You'd be able to find something similar for less on a regular Sealy but wouldn't be exactly the same. They also sell their bath towels, linens, etc etc Well, I called Sealy direct and they gave me the inside sales number for Wynn. They sell the beds only direct from the hotel. The Cal King is $2995 but you don't pay sales tax (if you're not in Nevada) and no delivery charge. The person at Wynn helping me was very knowledgeable. She said that they started testing out beds for the Wynn while the Desert Inn was still standing. They kept a little office area there and they kept bringing in different beds until they narrowed it down to a few.

From those few, they took all the positive aspects of each bed and created the ones they have today. I'm still debating, but that would be a nice way to spend my winnings from the last trip. Our mattress is so old, no wonder we both have back pain. I haven't shopped for mattresses for a while, although I'm sure their price is high, what would a higher end mattress set cost? I know, I also love the wynn mattresses. To give you an idea, our Serta was about $2000 when we bought it in 2005. Considering the fact that we have slept on this bed and know we love it, it sounds as if it would be worth the extra. The fact that we don't pay tax or delivery is great too. It does take four to six weeks since they are custom made but it would be worth the wait. Mattresses are something you purchase so rarely that getting a good one that fits you is really important. We too paid about $2,000 five or so years ago for a pillow top and it was well worth the $$. I'd say go for it if its what you really want.

Probably a great investment when you factor in the number of years you actually use it before it needs to be replaced. And, since you have the extra $$ courtesy of Mr. Wynn, I'd say definately do it. How many hours of your life do you spend in bed? Getting a good matteress was the worth every penny. Thanks for the input. Now I just have to convince my husband... We got our Wynn mattress in today---it is exactly like those in the rooms. (I checked them out thoroughly-lol) Can't wait to sleep on it tonight! I will let you all know how we like it. It is really pennies per day when you figure how long a mattress lasts. Ours came in about 4 weeks.... :) My daughter and husband were in a salon suite last year and purchased everything as the bed was when you see it .I know it wasn't cheap for the complete assembly ,and not to long ago she ordered another pair of pillows.Nice to have money Expensive-yes--but only about 50 cents per day when you figure a mattress lasting 15 years....

We only got a couple of the pillows--we love the Pure Beach Jersy sheets from Bed Bath & Beyond so didn't buy all the bedding. However, we did get the mattress pad. Slept like a baby last night--and, my hubby snored much less!! Not a medical opinion, but was noticably less--we found this true in Vegas as well. I was awake for a while as I just can't go to sleep early but was very comfortable just resting and was NOT tossing and turning.....What are the beds like at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas... What are the beds like at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas? Answers from Our Experts (2) The beds at Encore at Wynn Las Vegas are a point of pride for the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star hotel. A firm mattress and a plush pillow-top makes for a highly satisfying sleeping experience — one that you can recreate by buying your own Wynn Dream Bed at the Homestore in the Esplanade for a cool $3,100. Maybe it’s a dream come true, or maybe it allows for wonderful dreams. Whatever your interpretation, the Wynn Dream Bed is a one-of-a-kind, and it looks as great as it feels.

Dressed in tan pinstripe sheets with two huge shams and two standard pillows with a decorative border, each bed has a padded headboard framed in wood above it along with two blond nightstands on either side. Your bed at Encore will quite possibly become your sanctuary, in part due to its coziness and also because of the bedside panel that’s provided. Being able to dim the lights or close the drapes with the touch of a button comes in handy when you’re too comfortable to get out of bed. The beds at Encore Las Vegas are pillow-top, king-sized Wynn Dream Beds. Each bed is made with 100 percent Egyptian cotton linens. VIEW ALL QUESTIONS FOR THIS HOTEL I had a Sleep Number bed and that gave hollow places after only 3 years. Plus, it is difficult to take down and set up if you want to move your bed. Now the Wynn hotels' Home Store is offering their bed (Mattress/box spring) for about the cost of a Sleep Number and their new edition has pillow top on both top and bottom so you can flip the mattress if you want.

It also comes with a 10 year warrantee. My husband wants to buy it for me as a Christmas present. Can anyone who has stayed at a Wynn hotel recently or bought a Wynn bed, please advise? I haven't stayed there, so I can't be 100% sure about what I'm about to say, but...I do work in the mattress industry, and it appears the Wynn mattress is a Sealy firm mattress with a plush pillowtop. I can tell you that almost ALL the matttresses that are made now, especially the pillowtop mattresses, are going to get countours or "hollow places" where you sleep. This is completely normal, and unless the contour exceeds 1 1/2" Sealy, or any other company is not going to replace the mattress. I also have never seen a pillowtop mattress that has the pillowtop on the top and underside of the mattress. Typically you can only rotate the current mattresses from head to foot, they are not made to be flipped anymore. Because I admittedly don't know the particulars of Wynn's current mattresses, I can't state this for a fact, but I'd suggest that you double check that, and also don't be surprised if you have a hollowed out area/contour in the new mattress.

The mattresses are meant to conform to the body, and will show the spot where you regularly sleep. Wynn has always had their bed for sale in that shop, along with the bedding. It is certainly not a bargain price. We've found the Wynn bed to be comfortable, but not that exceptional. We also have a sleep number bed for 8-9 years and haven't had any problems with it. But it does make sleeping on regular mattresses a little difficult after too many nights. We solve this problem by never sleeping on the same hotel mattress more than 5 nights at a time, even if we ever go back to a regular mattress we will still get our pillows from the Sleep Number stores. If you like them firm and heavy, nothing else compares. jjacks: Carrie is talking about a sleep number bed, not a traditional mattress. And what she says is true, and somewhat unique to this mattress. You can not really flip the mattress or turn it in any direction, and it is a real PIA to move the bed. So there are some negatives to this bed.

Thank You for your speedy response. We have 2 sleep number beds but the one I sleep on is not; it is a "custom" cal king I bought about 7 years ago in California in a specialty mattress store. I can't flip it and it is too heavy to be meant to flip so once in awhile we turn it. But I did love the bed in Encore and to replace my current one, we thought to get it instead of another sleep number. The Wynn mattress price is comparable. I don't know why the very expensive tag it's getting in some people's reviews. Re: pillow top on both sides, I am going to ask them if it is meant to flip. I think some people may want to return to the flip able type to maintain comfort. Have read the sleep number reviews and they are not so great. Sales people tell us that mattresses should last at least 10 years. We have not found that to be so and we are not "heavy" people sleeping on them. Thanks for your response. I've been reading the Sleep number reviews and they are good, not great, We were so comfortable on the Encore bed we may take a try.

Wynn's Home Store will take it back (pick it up at no charge) if we decide against it. I'd love to go to Vegas and try it once more before buying, but that is unlikely. Meantime, I'm still on my old mattress which, after 8 years, is needing to be replaced. (I don't know why as we are not "heavy" people, but mattresses seldom keep their comfort for the years promised in the warrantee, Sleep Number beds included, in our experience. I went to the Sealy store locally and was told that these specialty mattresses are not available in store and yes, they are different. The salesman told me they can only be ordered online or, as in this case, via Wynn's Home Store. I used to sell mattress and would have never told you to buy one elsewhere. Could always find one comparable if not better. Something to keep in mind is what you do on vacation compared your normal routine. On vacation there is usually much more excitement and adventure and in Vegas certainly alot more walking around then normal.
