Consequently, I only let my grandchildren use it. Any heavier and it will in all likelihood break. These are OK- but definitely not worth the price I paid for them. We left them outside on the patio for a few months and the wood cracks and splinters. Nothing a little sand paper couldn't fix. The fabric also fades easily. These are definitely more beach chairs as they do not sit straight up and down (that's my fault- I was unsure) and aren't made to weather the elements.
So, if you want to spend a lot of money on a chair that you bring inside between uses to preserve it's life, then this might be for you. Anyways, it is still holding up - though they are now pink instead of red and the wood is faded and sanded, but they still do the job. The chairs arrived quickly and were packaged well. The bright green canvas is cool too. My only and biggest criticism of the chair is the sturdiness of the frame. The frame seems a little flimsy and seems to need tighening but there is no access to tighten the screws. These were very easy to put together and I find them comfortable and good looking in their simplicity. I ordered the orange ones because they were slightly cheaper and was a bit worried that they would be too bright, but they faded within two weeks in the Texas sun, so that's taken care of. "Can the fabric on the chairs be replaced?" The chair cover is not sold separately. "size when folded/ size of shipping box?" The shipping box is approximately 50 inches x 28 inches x 4 inches.
