Do you have to put a chair at every crossing of the rebars? Every other crossing will work perfectly. Would 3/8" rebar work in these 1/2" rebar chairs? I used #3 rebar in a small drive I installed. It worked, but had to wire tie the rebar. Can these be used for a vertical cement wall? No, the bars would slid down. I would use heavy duty zip ties. can these be used with wire mesh? We have customers that buy them for wire mesh, however, they are designed for #4 Rebar.
