I have just watched the Green Lantern film and was lucky enough to buy the Green Lantern Exclusive LEGO Super Heroes Minifigure from the San Diego Comic Con in 2011. Green Lantern is the name of a number of superheroes from the DC Universe, all of whom are characterized by a power ring and the ability to create solid constructs with the ring. Each Green Lantern possesses a power ring and power lantern that gives the user great control over the physical world. Skip ahead to the 1:00 mark to hear it.In The Lego Movie, the relationship between Justice League teammates Superman (Channing Tatum) and Green Lantern (Jonah Hill) is amusingly one-sided. Green Lantern basically worships Superman and wants to be his best friend, whereas Superman finds Green Lantern a nuisance and tries his best to avoid him. In the commercial, Superman issue isn’t really with Green Lantern, but with a woman who won’t stop talking about Green Lantern. It’s not really the same thing at all, unless Seinfeld believes that any reference to the two not getting along perfectly is a ripoff of his AmEx ad.
