Ben 10: Alien Force was a theme introduced in 2010 and discontinued in that same year of 2010, based on the cartoon series of the same name broadcast on Cartoon Network. It was very unsuccessful with LEGO buyers and only lasted about 6 months on the market in some countries. It is also a TECHNIC subtheme. Set five years after the events of the original Ben 10 series, Ben 10: Alien Force follows the 15-year-old Ben Tennyson as he trains a new team of teenaged heroes to fight the genocidal Highbreed and locate his missing grandfather, Max. The Omnitrix, the strange wristwatch-like device that allows him to transform into ten different types of super-powered alien, has recalibrated, giving him access to a new selection of breeds and abilities. The theme was small and short-lived, containing just six sets. Each set is an action figure version of one of Ben's alien forms, composed of between fourteen and twenty-two pieces. They are similar to BIONICLE figures but with simplified constructions and more specific parts.
The theme was the first to use a redesigned ball-and-socket joint, intended to replace the earlier, more rigid kind that was prone to breaking. Each figure has glow-in-the-dark eyes and a glow-in-the-dark Omnitrix on its chest. Ben 10: Up to Speed Riding the Storm out (Mandarin) This is a project based on the original Ben 10 series from 2005-2008. It features 8 minifigures including: Ben 10, Gwen Tennyson, Grandpa Max, Heatblast, Wildvine, Four-Arms, XLR8, and Ghost Freak. The model itself is based off Grandpa Max's RV (the Rustbucket) from the original Ben 10 season 1-4. I built this model because I used to absolutely adore this show and everything about it when I was 8 years old. This show holds some very fond memories for me. I am now 15 and still think that the show is outstanding and would translate really well to LEGO. The characters are iconic and popular, and there are some very interesting locations and vehicles in the show which is why I think it would make a great LEGO set.
The set includes: three satellite dish's, two aerials, two window wipers, fifteen windows, six movable wheels, one spare tire, one bumper bar, headlights, tail-lights, blue and red stripe paint job, and one ladder. Bloxx's appearance looks similar to that of a gorilla made out of building blocks. He has three main colors which are red, blue and yellow, with black lines all over his body. He's mostly red and yellow with some spots of blue. Bloxx wears the Omnitrix symbol on his chest. Bloxx's shapeshifting powers allow him to transform into multiple things, such as a wall, catapult, cage, etc.
If Bloxx's body is damaged/broken he can easily reform the broken pieces immediately. He can form more blocks on his body, either to grow in size, create constructs of blocks, change himself into a larger construct or even use them as projectiles. In Arrested Development, he can willingly detach parts of his body to get out of certain situations. In Rad Monster Party, he could turn his hands into guns, dubbed the Bloxx-lobber, and fire explosive blocks from them. Bloxx is very dense and durable as seen in The More Things Change: Part 1, where he escaped an explosion unscathed. Bloxx has enhanced strength, as he was able to throw a car with one hand. In Ben 10: Omniverse 2, Bloxx can create a decoy of himself in order to distract his opponents. Despite his shape-changing abilities, Bloxx can be broken when hit with enough force, but can easily reform himself right after. Bloxx is vulnerable to acids, as shown when the Screegit spat acid at him. As shown in And Then There Were None, Bloxx is also vulnerable to acidic gases.
