Feel free to bring in a picnic basket with food from home to enjoy during a concert – anything from cheese and crackers to fast food is allowed. Keep in mind that glass containers are prohibited inside the Amphitheater (example: salsa in a glass container or Pyrex Tupperware). We have a variety of affordable and delicious food options at our Concession Stand to the right of the gates. From hotdogs to deli sandwiches and popsicles, there’s something to satisfy any appetite during the show. Picnic baskets, bags and purses may be subject to security searches. Guests may bring in factory-sealed, non-glass beverages during concerts. Examples include soda cans, unopened water bottles and other unopened beverage containers. Empty reuseable waterbottles may be brought in and filled at the inside water fountain. Beer, wine, specialty alcoholic drinks and non-alcoholic beverages are available at our Concessions. All guests consuming alcohol will have IDs checked at entry and will be required to wear a wrist band for service.

Alcohol may not be brought on the premises. Our liquor license permits the sale of beer and wine at concerts, but does not allow any outside alcohol to be brought onto the property. All alcoholic beverages will be confiscated if found on site. Our liquor license permits the sale of beer, wine and specialty drinks at concerts, but does not allow any alcohol to be brought onto the property by our guests. Based on expected attendance, an additional beverage station may be located behind the West Terrace, across from the merchandise tent. This station will serve a limited selection of beer, wine and bottled water. Please note: the station accepts cash only. Coolers are allowed inside the Amphitheater, but we ask that they are not “large beach coolers” as courtesy to other concert-goers since they take up valuable seating space and cannot be used as chairs. Coolers are subject to security searches. All seating is general admission, first-come, first-serve lawn seating.

Low-back chairs and blankets are welcomed. We suggest lining up earlier than the gate time for better seating opportunities. We have a chair height policy in order for all guests to enjoy views from every spot on the Amphitheater hill. The policy is any low-back chair measuring 12" or less from the ground to the front of the seat bottom and 32" to the top of the chair back in its highest position will be allowed. Blankets can be used for seating, but please be courteous of other guests by not saving larger-than-needed amounts of grass. Bring your ponchos and/or smaller umbrellas if there’s a high probability of rain.

Please be courteous to your neighbors by not blocking their views with large or golf umbrellas. Our weather policy states if there is inclement weather in our area, the concert will be delayed until the threat has passed. The decision to continue a concert after adverse weather passes will be determined on a case-by-case basis, based on consultation with appropriate weather experts. If a storm or tornado situation arises and the concert needs to end, there will be no refunds. Stay tuned to our social media outlets for the most up to date information. Concerts are rain or shine unless there is severe weather as previously stated. Each artist has their own photography policy, which pertains to guests and media alike. Meijer Gardens helps enforce these policies by prohibiting all SLR / detachable lens cameras, iPads and video-recording devices. It is our intent to make the concert experience accessible to every guest. Meijer Gardens is an accessible facility and proudly complies with ADA regulations.

Guests with medical or mobility issues may request special consideration for seating by visiting the Box Office window. If seating in low chairs will be a mobility issue, we have a limited quantity of standard-height white plastic chairs, available for rent ($10). Barrier-free areas are marked in blue at the left and right top sections of the Amphitheater hill. Guests in wheelchairs have priority—a limited number of wheelchairs are available for usage during the concert. Guests may line up outside the gates as early as they please. For more popular shows, many guests arrive an hour or more before gates open (even two hours before the show). Placing of an empty chair or “place holder” will not be allowed—guests must be physically present to reserve their spots in line.
