Canoe continues to exceed expectations, service, food, location best in Atlanta highly recommend for any special occasion I went here for a friend's birthday dinner about two years ago. It's about 25 minutes outside of Atlanta and for some reason GSP gets confused on the location (not the restaurant's fault). The food is just ok and kind of over priced. The scenery is good IF you're seated outside. If not, it's your standard dimly lit, high end... I love sitting outside next to the river.
I came with some good friends and we also toured to the vegetable farm adjacent to the outside bar. The food and service at Canoe are always excellent. Definitely get the sticky buns if you are there for brunch as they are incredible. There is also a beautiful view of the river and the garden around Canoe. This is a go to place when taking the mother-in-law out for Mother's Day or when friends are in town but definitely... Great atmosphere, excellent food! Canoe is a wonderful choice for a special occasion or just an everyday meal. Very accommodating to my Vegan lifestyle (my mate is not). Had a wonderful vegetable plate whipped up by the chef at this not so normally vegan establishement. I find that finer restaurants such as Canoe will work hard to accommodate special dietary requests. Canoe rose to the occassion and did not dissappoint. After dinner we sat riverside and had cocktails... Visited last night, had fantastic service and excellent food. Highly recommended for that special occasion.
