Approach Frank after you enter the building—he’s highlighted by a green objective marker. While trying to fix the station’s main “compuper,” Frank accidentally blows it up. Stand near the remains of the computer and hold A to build the bouncing LEGO bricks, repairing the damage. Build all three piles of LEGO bricks to fully repair the computer. After repairing the main computer, follow Frank to the nearby elevator on the right. Police Chief Dunby steps out of the elevator as you approach, and he’s in an awful mood. He doesn’t seem to like Chase very much, but Mayor Gleeson has insisted that Chase lead the Rex Fury case, so the chief’s hands are tied.

Objective: Explore the basement After your awkward chat with Chief Dunby, Frank gives you the grand tour of the station’s basement. Follow him downstairs, then smash three gray boxes to discover more LEGO bricks. Hold A to build these into a locker, then open the locker to discover the Chase McCain (Police Officer) disguise! Now that you’ve found a new disguise, you can change your appearance at any time by holding X to open the Disguise Wheel and selecting the outfit you wish to wear. Do this now and change into the Chase McCain (Police Officer) outfit. Quickly change disguises by pressing LEFT or RIGHT to cycle through them. Follow Frank back upstairs. He stops near a police shield icon. Stand on this icon. Now that you’ve changed into your police officer disguise, press A to gain access to the requisitions desk. Step up to the desk 1to speak with Ellie Phillips, who hands you a newfangled police communicator. Objective: Activate the police communicator

Take the elevator back up to the station’s lobby and approach the main computer. Stand before the computer and press A to sync up your communicator. Now your Wii U GamePad will show you a handy map of your surroundings! Objective: Wake the chief Police Chief Dunby has fallen asleep at his desk, and it’s up to Chase to wake him. Follow Frank upstairs and, when prompted, answer an incoming call on your GamePad by touching the flashing video call icon. The caller is Ellie from requisitions, and she tells you how to use the communicator to search for clues! Go left to discover Chief Dunby’s office. The door is locked, and you need to find a key to get inside. Stand on the nearby glowing scan spot, then press A to put your communicator into Detective Scan mode. Shine the communicator’s blue light on the ground to discover a hidden trail of footprints! The footprints lead to a small cupboard on the right. Press A to open the cupboard and find the key to the chief’s office.

You must follow the footprints all the way to the cupboard to discover the key. Press A to pick up the key, then carry it over to the left. Press A to insert it into the lock near the chief’s door, then press A again to turn the key and open the door. Now you just need to wake the chief! Smash the file cabinet near the window to uncover some LEGO bricks, then build these into a stereo. Chase cranks up the volume and wakes the chief, who angrily orders everyone into the briefing room. Objective: Attend the briefing Chief Dunby orders everyone into the briefing room, then recounts the story of Rex Fury’s historic capture—and recent escape. The briefing is cut short when a video feed shows robbers pulling off a heist at LEGO City Bank. All right, time to fight some crime! Bricks, Blocks & Building> Shop for other LEGO products. Police sets were already present when minifigures did not yet exist.

The first one being 354 Police Heliport. When minifigures were introduced in 1978 three police sets were among the first to be released with them. The police was equipped with a headquarter and several vessels. Some of the early sets (621 Police Car and 6600 Police Patrol) featured police cars that could not be entered by the minifigs due to the difference in scale. New buildings were introduced in 1983 and 1986. 1985 saw the release of 6450 Light & Sound Mobile Police Truck which was one of the first two sets to feature 9V battery boxes and electric light and sound bricks. In 1988 6642 Police Helicopter was the first police set that included a modern helmet with visor. 1993 brought some major changes. The minifigs got the first new police torso pieces since 1978. They featured a new police logo with a five-pointed star instead of the simple white badge. It was also the first time that LEGO policemen got new head pieces that differed from the original smiley faces. All Police sets were now released as part of the Rescue subtheme until 1998.

New buildings were released in 1993 and 1996. In 1998 the Town theme was replaced with the "juniorized" Town Jr. and the police sets of the following few years used heavily simplified building techniques. The sets also featured transparent green window pieces instead of clear or blueish ones. New police sets were introduced in 2003 as part of the new World City theme. The police logo now featured an eight-pointed star inside a police badge. New uniforms were introduced as well. Another change involved the lightbars of the police cars. They had now red and blue beacons instead of just blue ones. The windows were now smoke coloured. Police appeared in Spider-Man theme in 2003 and 2004 as well. Police vehicles with American style were included in two sets. Beginning with 2005 the police sets were released as part of the City theme. The police units went back to flashing lights that were blue only. Also the first police dogs were introduced. Instead of preprinted pieces that are labeled "POLICE" the new sets include sticker sheets that allow to label the police units with either the English word "POLICE" or the German "POLIZEI".

In 2012, City relocated to a forest-like area and the police started wearing tan-colored uniforms with dark blue pants, some come with a new ranger hat, making them the Forest Police similar to Forest Rangers. 2013 saw the release of new Police sets, with action set around regular city, with the distinction of the box art background depicting night time. In 2014 a whole new range of sets were introduced, some a redesign of the older classical sets, like Mobile Police Unit, Police Dog Unit or Police Station. In 2015 a new subtheme was created, Swamp Police, with action taking place in the swamp area outside the city. Police minifigures had tan/blue uniforms influenced by Forest Police, albeit slightly lighter in tone and with baseball caps rathen than ranger hats. The Police have also appeared in LEGO Batman: The Videogame, but they only appeared in Batmobile and the Two-Face Chase and an actual minifigure of Commissioner Gordon. 6386 Police Command Base, 6398 Central Precinct HQ,
