GettyThe families involved are reported to be Irish and selling tools from vans, got into the fight at 7am on Sunday, just before the car boot sale opened. According to eyewitnesses, trouble started at the event in Hounslow, west London, when to two different families, who were not suppsed to be at the same sale, confronting each other. 




Police were called after trouble flared at the regular event at around 7am.Officers said people fought with knives and other weapons. Forensics officers were scouring the area in Hounslow, west London, while community support officers stood guard and directed traffic.Staines Road was sealed off between Martindale Road and Green Lane, while buses were being diverted.Police say three people were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder, while a man with leg injuries was taken to hospital by paramedics. Two other people are also being treated. Inquiries by officers have so far resulted in the arrests of three men in Hillingdon It is believed violence broke out after a man was hit by a van.A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "Police were called to Hounslow Heath, near Staines Road, Hounslow, just after 7am to reports that a pedestrian and a van had been in collision, and subsequently to a large number of people fighting armed with knives and other weapons."Police officers attended, and a man suffering injuries to his leg was found.




He was taken to hospital by paramedics."The group had dispersed before the arrival of the police."Two other men presented themselves to a hospital a short time later.
