Ask about our easy payment terms I bought my mother’s highchair from Glenmore over ten years ago and it’s still as good as new. So when I needed one myself, following a hip operation, they were my first point of call. My new electric bed helps me in and out and also relieves the pressure on my back. Glenmore delivered and installed it at no cost to myself and I couldn’t be happier. I love my new leather fireside chair. Glenmore had a huge selection to chose from and I had mine delivered FREE within the week. Galleries, theatres, shopping centres, restaurants. Buying a scooter from Glenmore meant I got my freedom back and you can’t place a value on that. My new wheelchair is exactly what I needed. It has big wheels so I can push myself and I’m no longer stuck in the house relying on friends. Glenmore's expertise cannot be matched when buying from an ordinary furniture shop nor their prices be beaten. Please Select an area in United Kingdom

Click ENTER to chatThe Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is Scotland's biggest, best-selling outdoor spectacle. It is the most popular annual event on the Scottish calendar, attracting an international audience each year of some 220,000 people.

As such, we are proud to offer a wide range of facilities and services for disabled visitors. Its ancient historic setting, on the Esplanade (the Tattoo venue) of Edinburgh Castle is matchless. Located high above the skyline of the oldest and most popular part of the City, perched on an extinct volcano some 135 metres above sea level. The unique setting of the Tattoo may present access difficulties for some, particularly the elderly, people with disabilities and individuals with limited mobility. Those with known heart conditions (Angina, Previous MI, LVF, etc.), respiratory conditions (COPD, Asthma, etc.) and vertigo sufferers may also be affected when trying to access the Esplanade. Castlehill, the old-cobbled approach to the Esplanade, is a steep inclined walk of some 100 metres which, consequently, may prove difficult for some. In addition, there is on average a further 100 metres climb up the gentler slope of the Esplanade, followed by a dozen or so steps to be negotiated to reach the front rows of all the spectator stands in the arena.

The rest of the seating in the amphitheatre is accessed by more steps which are quite steeply tiered. Facilities exist for the positioning of wheelchairs along the front row of Sections 1-5 and 12-17 as well as the top of Section 10 facing Edinburgh Castle. A limited number of seats are available for those with restricted mobility in the front row of Sections 12-17 and only five steps from ground level. Please contact the Box Office for further details. Disabled toilet facilities are available on the Esplanade. Vehicle Passes, only for those in possession of tickets for the disabled seating areas, may be issued which allow access to the Esplanade by Car, Taxi or Ambulance, however, they cannot be issued for performances on Saturdays under any circumstances. A Vehicle Pass will permit the bearer to transport wheelchair patrons onto the Esplanade BUT vehicles must arrive in sufficient time to unload their passengers and clear the Esplanade AT LEAST 60 minutes before the start of the performance in question.

The pass is not a permit to park on or near the Esplanade and is valid only on the date shown. Vehicles should report to St Giles Street 100 minutes prior to the commencement of the Tattoo performance to be directed by the police onto the Esplanade. The vehicle MUST then be removed from the Esplanade by the bearer, returning to the Esplanade as instructed by the police some 30 minutes after the performance end. If you wish to apply for such a pass please do so at the time of ordering tickets. You will be required to provide the following details indicating whether or not your order is dependant upon the allocation of a vehicle pass:- Assistance for those with impaired hearing is available, subject only to availability at the time of ordering, in the shape of a Personal PA System (Neckloop Induction Coil for use with hearing aids equipped with a "T" switch). Anyone wishing to avail themselves of this facility should reserve equipment at the time of ticket purchase. Audio description will be available for the visually impaired at the Preview performance on Thursday 3 August at 9.30pm and on Thursday 10 August 2017 at 9.00pm.
