The legs can be swiveled up or down with a simple turn of the spring-loaded cap. (2 connectors with regular frame) The left and right sides of the wheelchair are held together by the width connector. Two sizes are included. Use the smaller connector for dogs between 5 - 9.5 inches, and the longer connector for dogs between 9 and 13.5 inches wide. (2 extender sets with regular frame) The length extenders connect the frame to the front harness. Their length is adjustable with a simple snap-button. Both sizes are included. If your dog is 9-19 inches long, use the smaller connector.

Use the larger connector for animals between 18-25 inches in length. Length is measured from the back of the front leg to the back of the rear leg. The harness is made from high-strength materials to last a long time. Your dog's head will go between the black and the blue strap. For maximum comfort, the shoulder pads are made of neoprene. Additionally, neoprene comfor sleeves wrap around the staps. These sleeves can be cut in half, should they be too long. Every wheelchair comes with a pair of handles. They attach to the leg rings while the dog is not in the wheelchair and are used as a lifting device. Parts of the Wheel Kit One set comes in wheel kit. The wheels attach to the struts, which are then snapped into the wheelchair. They are adjustable within a range of 3 inches. 4 different sizes are available: 6, 9, 12, and 15 inches. The white, frosted tote bag comes with your Walkin' Wheels dog wheelchair. It's an ideal way to carry the folded wheelchair. How do I measure the Fold of Flank of my pet? Do not pull the leg tight, leave some natural bend. Measure from the ground to the Fold of Flank, as shown above. The Fold of Flank is the skin connecting the dogs rear leg to his body. The skin is very similar to the webbing between your thumb and index finger. "Can my dog pee and poop in the wheelchair?"It's no longer a chore for your dog to do his business - Walkin' Wheels makes it easy. "Can my pet use his/her rear legs in the wheelchair?"The use of rear legs is encouraged to maintain muscle and get excercise. Stirrups will prevent the legs from dragging on the ground, should they be paralyzed or weak. "How can I tell if the wheelchair is adjusted properly?"The animal should be standing in a natural position when the cart is properly adjusted.A – Knuckle at the hips. The knuckle should be sitting where the leg meets the bones of the body.

If this isn't the case, tighten the harness or adjust the length of the extenders. There should me 1" on each side between the dog and the knuckle.B – Front Support loop at the shoulder. The loop on the front harness that the bar goes through should be at the shoulder. Adjust the straps so that the loop is held firmly against the shoulder. Then clip into cart.C – The dogs back needs to be straight or arched UP (slight hunch). In this photo the dog's back is slightly arched down. This is NOT correct and this dog needs the Belly Belt.D – The rear legs need to be barely touching, or just off the ground, depending on the health of the back legs. Allow the feet to touch the ground lightly if the dog wants to use his rear legs. You can often adjust this by tightening the straps that attach the harness to the frame to bring the dog's seat up. Your second step should be to heighten the leg struts. Be sure to use the included stirrups if the feet are dragging on the ground. Also consider the optional boots to protect the feet.

E – The horizontal bar needs to be level with the ground. - Ridgeback in a wheelchair needs a Belly Belt "When can I expect to receive my wheelchair?" All wheelchair orders placed prior to 12 Noon EST Monday through Friday will leave our warehouse the same day. Shipping time can range between one to five business days. We also offer express shipping options. "How easy is the wheelchair to transport?"Since Walkin' Wheels folds flat, it's easy to transport. The included tote back makes carrying it a breeze. "Will this wheelchair rehabilitate my dog?"Every dog is different and has a unique set of challenges. We've seen some dogs improve to the point of no longer requiring a wheelchair. Either way, your dog is getting physical therapy as well as improving mental health. "What is the return policy?"We want you to be fully satisfied with your wheelchair. If you experience any problems, please give us a call. Often we can help with just a simple adjustment. If you still feel that Walkin' Wheels is not a good fit, please request a Return Materials Authorization.
