Yellow Cab of Columbus owns ten state-of-the-art paratransit taxis. We are the only privately-held transportation company in Central Ohio offering this comfort-focused style of wheelchair-accessible vehicle. The feedback on our paratransit cabs has been nothing short of ecstatic. For passenger guests in wheelchairs, accustomed to rear-loading van-style transport, Yellow Cab of Columbus’ paratransit vehicles are a new and dignified experience. [Insert quote from guest kudos, link to the full letter.] Wheelchair passenger guests enter through the paratransit cab’s side and can ride in the front passenger position. Some of our guests have told us this is the first time they have had the experience of riding next to a driver. Up to four additional people can ride in the rear of our paratransit taxi. It’s a great option for families to easily ride together to dinner or an event – it feels more like a treat than a necessity! [INSERT VIDEO OF PARATRANSIT TOUR]

© Yellow Cab of Columbus | Wheelchair Accessible Taxis for the Los Angeles Area United Independent Taxi services the greater Los Angeles area, which means L.A., Hollywood, Santa Monica, Venice, Marina Del Ray and more. When making a reservation, I was told that the taxi would be there around 30 minutes but was earlier. Then again, it was an early week-day morning. It took sometime, however, for the driver to get the ramp out and get setup. After the ramp was screwed into place I asked the driver for assistance going up it because it was quite steep. Inside, it looked like a row of seats had been taken out but actually they just fold into the floor. The roof of the van had an extension to make it taller and more comfortable for those sitting in wheelchairs. The height inside from the floor to the roof is 56.” Four straps hold down the actual chair (one at each corner) and then an actual seatbelt is secured to the wheelchair passenger.About UsMission and GoalsOrganization ChartDirector's MessageFrequently Asked QuestionsContact Us
