Wedding coordination: Occasion Designed Florist: Flowers for Special Occasions Chair Covers: Omaha Chair Covers Blog photos by Tracey Fricke It’s crazy to think how quickly winter passed us by, although we admit, it was a little slow going at times… However, we couldn’t be more excited to put winter behind us and start our favorite time of the year, wedding season! Full of unique tablescapes, surprising themes, love, laughter, and all around fun, 2016 is sure to be one for the books! Be sure to keep up with all the beautiful images from this year’s weddings here on the blog. We promise not to disappoint. We kicked this season off right with an ABSOLUTELY stunning display from Florals Etcetera and Lorraine Arthur Cakes. Let’s all just take a moment to pick our jaws up off the ground and bring our thoughts back from the English Rose Garden we’ve been transported to.

Seriously though, this collaboration produced a super romantic, super whimsical wedding reception that leaves the eye wanting more. Thank goodness these amazing designers grace the Scoular Ballroom with their presence and creativity often, otherwise we might just have to start making our way around Omaha to see more of the magic. Now that the days are growing colder, it’s so much fun to keep reminiscing about this beautiful tropical wedding! Even though the temperature in Omaha is falling and winter is drawing near, things were heating up at the Scoular Ballroom this past weekend for a very tropical affair! Special shout out to Val Christensen for creating a tropical oasis within the Scoular Ballroom! Stay tuned for more tropical photos! Shout out to Something New Productions for capturing the Scoular Ballroom in such stellar lighting! The October wedding featured was simply elegant and effortlessly beautiful. The images come to life thanks to Something New Productions‘ amazing ability to capitalize on the perfect lighting.

We love when event designers create a warm ambiance full of green foliage, fresh flowers, and soft candlelight. It’s almost like the outside elements are present within the venue space. Kudos goes to Aaron Carlson Design for creating a tropical oasis within the Scoular Ballroom! We absolutely loved this wedding! Not only was it beautiful with its amazing decor and gorgeous flowers and cake, we appreciated all the time that the bride and groom put into every single detail. A lot of wedding guests do not realize the time and dedication that it takes to create a memorable and well executed event. This bride and groom left no detail untouched, which made us step back in appreciation to applaud their efforts. Every bride and groom deserves to feel like royalty on their wedding day! Today’s wedding features lavish gold decor, a detailed cake, and two thrones fit for a king and queen.Event Decor Direct is excited to offer these new and custom chair covers for sale at an incredible factory-direct price.

Purple seems to be the “it” color this season! We love how this bride used soft hints of purple throughout her decor from the cake to the floral centerpieces. Photos and wedding coordination provided by Tracey Fricke of Special Occasions by Design. Cupcakes, cakes, and cookies…With wedding season in full swing, we have cake on our brains. Today’s cocktail, mixed by Attitude on Food, reminds us of our favorite cake flavor: Red velvet! All you need is: 1 oz Chambord raspberry liqueur 1 oz heavy cream Pour ingredients into shaker filled with ice.  Shake briefly, but vigorously, and strain into chilled martini glass.  Garnish with fresh berries—yum! Please remember to drink responsibly at weddings and events. Come spring, we become all giddy with excitement because wedding season is upon us! We love the way the brides and their wedding coordinators play with the soft, subtle spring colors and incorporate the romantic side of spring into their overall theme.

We especially love the floral centerpieces by Flowers for Special Occasions that were used in the wedding photos below. A special shout out goes to Tracey Fricke of Special Occasion By Design for coordinating this beautiful wedding and for capturing it so elegantly in photos! Cheers to wedding season 2015! Spring is in full bloom and warmer weather is here! To keep cool on these spring days, try a refreshing strawberry cocktail mixed by the professionals at Attitude on Food! 3-4 fresh basil leaves 2 oz spiced rum 1 oz St.-Germain elderflower liqueur In a shaker, gently muddle strawberry, lime, lemon, basil—careful not to tear basil.  Fill shaker with ice and add liquors.  Gently shake and strain into iced glass.  Garnish with half strawberry.  The Magnolia Hotel was a glamorous venue for our rehearsal dinner, wedding, and guest lodging. The rooms were beautiful. We stayed in an Executive Suite, which provided room for all of my bridesmaids to get ready. Our food was amazing and the bar service was wonderful!

All the staff at the hotel were so friendly and accommodating to me and my guests. I have planned several events at local venues and Ron (wedding coordinator) is the best around. He runs a tight ship and I always felt 100% confident in him and his team. Our wedding day went off without a hitch and everyone loved the venue. I couldn't be more pleased. My girlfriends threw my bachelorette in one of their suites, and it was perfect! Plenty of room for people to stay if needed, has a bar inside, and it is so close to all of the downtown bars. Perfect spot for a bachelorette! I cannot say a bad thing about our experience with the Magnolia Hotel. The staff was professional, friendly and extremely helpful throughout the entire process. Great hotel, inconsistent service & pricing The Magnolia is an absolute gem of a hotel! It is gorgeous, old-fashioned and unique! I absolutely love the hotel itself. The only frustration we had was my groom and I are both in the military and thus a lot of our friends are in the military and thus could not plan more than a month ahead and the hotel would not hold the block of rooms for that long.

The place speaks for itself and... I was told I had the most beautiful wedding ever a I got married at the Magnolia Hotel, and I have had a large number of my guests say that my wedding was the most beautiful they had ever attended...I attribute a lot of that to the Magnolia. What a gorgeous location. The elegant outdoor courtyard was the perfect combo for me... I am a micro-manager - as I'm sure many brides are. All the manager kept telling me is that they could deliver - and that wasn't enough for me. I wish they would have offered pictures of previous weddings that they had done to reassure me. I just wasn't sure that they could set... This place was amazing!! They actually had another wedding going on inside the hotel, but made me feel like the only bride in town.
