Venue type: Country House, Hotel, Restaurant Callow Hall is a unique country house hotel with an unrivalled setting and renowned restaurant, situated at the gateway to the Peak District National Park, close to the lively market town of Ashbourne. Surrounded by 44 acres of private garden, fields and woodland overlooking the Bentley Brook and vale of the River Dove, this ivy-clad Victorian hotel really is a haven of peace and tranquility but also a perfect base for exploring the splendours that Derbyshire and the ´Peaks´ have to offer. As you step into the elegant hall, it's like stepping back in time with elaborate ceilings, heavily draped curtains, oak staircases and other wonderful touches, not forgetting the fresh flowers that add magnificent colour and scents to each and every room. The hotel has sixteen bedrooms in total, all individually and tastefully furnished to provide every comfort, and some with uninterrupted views across the countryside. All rooms boast flat screen televisions with satellite channels, internet access, luxurious toiletries, comfortable beds and fluffy towels.
Dining at Callow Hall is an experience not to be missed! The Restaurant is featured in the Good Food Guide and for many years, has held a high 2 Rosette award with the AA. The restaurant is renowned for its freshly prepared and home produced food, including home baking, smoking and curing. In short, Callow Hall is the perfect wedding venue. As you step into the elegant hall, it's like stepping back in time with elaborate ceilings, heavily draped curtains, oak staircases, fine antiques and fireplaces, and other wonderful touches. We operate three intimate dining rooms all with an individual style and atmosphere. At Callow Hall, you have the option of taking the hotel exclusively, where the only guests will be those that you have personally invited. Exclusive use of the hotel includes all public areas, 16 bedrooms and all room hire charges in the cost. Private use of the house also allows you to have evening entertainment with music and dancing. Exclusive House Weddings at Callow Hall give total and private use of the hall facilities from noon on the booking day, until 11.00am on the departure day. All Inclusive EXCLUSIVE Marquee Wedding Package Exclusive Marquee Weddings at Callow Hall take place over two nights, the Marquee extension is placed by tunnel from the Middle Hall area and therefore is seen as a complete continuation to the building, guests are free to move between the marquee and house without stepping outside. Carry on up steep hill for approximately 300 yards to crossroads at the top and turn sharp left keeping Bowling Green Pub on left into North Avenue, then take the first turn right signposted Mappleton and Okeover.
Continue with care down the hill and drive over the humpbacked bridge. The hall entrance is on the right. Follow the tree lined drive to the hall. If approaching from the North on the A515 Buxton/Ashbourne road, turn right at the top of the hill at the Bowling Green Pub and then proceed as in the previous directions.
