Please either take an inexpensive buggy with you, hire one, or padlock it. And don't leave any valuables hidden in it. Lost all their photos and camera.

Edited: 11 March 2012, 21:06 that is disgusting -- but while I would be surprised to lose the stroller and it is sad that you can't leave a stroller while riding, it astounds me that anyone thinks they can leave their cameras and valuables just sitting unattended. would anyone leave a purse just sitting on a bench while going on a ride? Totally agree - people seem to think that no thieves exist in Disneyland Parks, which is sadly not the case. There are dishonest people wherever you go. It is worth taking a bicycle type padlock even if you are hiring a Disney buggy, as they can be taken from the ride buggy parks as well, either by mistake if people don't look for their name on their one, or because people are too mean to hire their own. You don't have to carry purchases with you all day or hang them on pushchairs - ask for them to be sent to your Disney hotel or to the Disney Store in the Village to collect after parks have closed. Take the same precautions that you would in any public or any tourist area.

And if any valuables are stolen from your buggy because you left them unattended, blame yourself - not Disney.... Added to TQ ' young children, toddlers & babies in DLP ' When my mum and sister went to DLP a few years ago they stood to watch the parade next to a couple with a young child and babe in arms. The couple must have heard my parents speak in English as they were form the UK as well They had had their buggy stolen with, thankfully, only their packed lunch and baby toys on it. The lady was rather upset as it meant the baby now had to be carried everywhere, and we're not talking new born, and they had to carry their bags around with them. They had no hope of getting it back and CM's had tried to be helpful but there is only so far they can go They did eventually, through sheer luck, see the people who had their buggy and got it back However, I am amazed at the amount of people who leave buggies with hand bags and cameras on them outside side entrances.

I truly believe they think they feel so safe in the parc they just dont get that something horrible could happen. ATEOTD it's not life threatening, but having your valuables stolen always leaves a sour taste in the mouth about a holiday returned last night from dlrp.i agree when going on rides to take all valubales with you.as majority of the time when returning for your pushchair the cast members have put pushchairs in a different location.happend on a few occasions to us.thought our pushchair was stolen when it 1st happend. Pushchairs can be moved by other guests in the buggy parks, trying to get their own one out. If there is no proper buggy park for a ride and they are just left outside, then they can indeed be moved by CMs as welshnana says, if considered to be a hazard. If taking your own pushchair, write your name on it with permanent marker so you can prove it is yours if you see someone else with it, as KR mentions. Disney do try to help and have loaned people a free buggy for their stay, but the Disney ones are no good for babies.

The review mentioned by casdex says ' crime hot spot '. I think that is rather unfair, as people do not seem to be mugged or pickpocketed there. The main problem is with the pushchairs and belongings left on them, which is almost like giving it away. Too hard for some people to resist. We have not had anything stolen in 20 years of visiting DLP. ( We did have a Disney cap with trading pins on and some expensive sunglasses stolen in WDW though, when accidentally left on a restaurant table for about 10 minutes.). I once lost a very nice coat when I left it on my pram in the buggy park inside our Doctor's surgery in our relatively quiet small New Forest town. I learned the hard way...there are thieves everywhere. its so sad to read that this would happen i too cant understand why people would leave their camera etc i never put mine down on holiday or anywhere really. we left our pushchair in the buggy areas and never had any problems it did get moved around a bit but it stands out a lot from the other pushchairs so was very easy to find in amongst them all.

i would maybe suggest to other parents to also take a pushchair that stand out dd2s is pink with pale blue flower design on the hood and sides but theres so many you can get these days. we did take a bicycle lock with us last year but didnt use it once, think we may rethink this for next time Edited: 13 March 2012, 20:49 You can't necessarily padlock the buggy to something, but even if you just lock the wheels so they won't turn, at least someone can't just wheel it away easily.
