Auf diese Weise entsteht ein spannender Kontrast zwischen Form und Material, der in Bequemlichkeit und Stil seinesgleichen sucht. Für ihren ausladenden Sessel nutzen Ronan und Erwan Bouroullec ein formgestricktes, extrem belastbares Textil, das wie ein Strumpf passgenau über die Sesselkonstruktion gezogen wird. Diese Bespannung aus Strickstoff verleiht dem Slow Chair einen angenehm weichen und ergonomisch richtigen Sitzkomfort, der durch dünne Sitz- und Rückenkissen noch gesteigert wird. Das leicht transparente Bezugsmaterial ersetzt dabei die dicken Polster traditioneller Sessel und gibt dem ausladenden Slow Chair große Leichtigkeit. Im Wohnzimmer oder Wintergarten tritt Slow Chair damit angenehm zurückhaltend auf, ohne dass man auf hohen Komfort verzichten müsste: Durch die an verschiedenen Stellen unterschiedlich starke Spannung ergibt sich ein ergonomischer Sitzkomfort, der sich dem Körper anpasst.
