Vite Overview
Vite is a generalised decentralized application platform that meets the requirements of industrial applications for throughput, latency and scalability while taking into account security.
VITE ATTRIBUTES
Vite uses DAG ledger structure, and transactions in ledgers are grouped by accounts. The Snapshot Chain structure in Vite can make up for the lack of security of the DAG ledger. The HDPoS consensus algorithm, through which writing and confirming of transactions are asynchronous, provides high performance and scalability. The Vite VM is compatible with EVM, and the smart contract language extended from Solidity, providing more powerful ability of description. In addition, an important improvement in Vite design is the adoption of a asynchronous Event Driven Architecture, which transmits information through messages between smart contracts, which greatly improves system throughput and scalability.
- All Vite token holders will be able to create events, purchase tickets, and authenticate events and tickets on the Vite platform.
- Users will be incentivized to post live event streams and reviews and will be rewarded with Vite tokens used to create the events.
- Every year, over $1 billion dollars in counterfeit tickets are sold. Vite aims to solve this issue through the use of blockchain authentication.
- Users may share their events via other social media platforms to receive even more Vite tokens.
- Users of the Vite platform are able to see what's going on nearby and check out all of the events happening around them.
Why is asynchronous DAG important for blockchain technology?
Asynchronous DAG technology is important and superior to blockchain technology because it can achieve more than 100k transactions per second which is far more than what blockchain does at this moment.
Plans
Developers have already released White Paper, launched the web site, made the roadmap and started executing it. By the end of 2018, they plan to release the alpha-version of the core, SDK and blockchain browser. They also want to start working on the consensus algorithm.
2019 is a big year for VITE, they want to:
- launch PC client and alpha-version of mobile app;
- develop beta-version Vite (including smart-contracts, documentation and language compiler);
- achieve crosschain capability for Loopring and Ethereum;
- work on the platform optimization;
- launch the testnet in November.
- First working version of platform is going to be released in 2020.
