Help > Product Information > Product Info & FAQs Expiration and Manufactured Dates NOTICE: The date on your supplement is not an expiration date! Due to the rules within FDA's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulations, we recently changed the manner with which we date items with Swanson® brand labels. There has been no change to the product itself. All Swanson products are produced by GMP-compliant manufacturers that meet specific standards for quality and potency. We require--and will continue to require--that our manufacturers develop and formulate products to maintain their quality for the expected timeframe. In most cases, products are considered stable at full potency for two or three years from the manufacture date.* At Swanson Health Products, one of our primary goals has always been to provide you with the freshest product possible. We bottle all of our Swanson brand capsules, tablets and softgels in our own facility, which allows us to control our inventory and deliver you guaranteed freshness.

This change is due to a modification of regulatory requirements and does not represent a change in the quality of Swanson brand supplements. Our products continue to meet and exceed the most stringent quality standards. This change in product dating applies only to Swanson brand supplements and does not include food items or topical or cosmetic products (creams, lotions, shampoo, etc.) *Liquid supplements and probiotics are generally stable for one year past the manufacture date. aThe manufacture date printed on the label represents the date the product was produced in compliance with Good Manufacturing (GMP) regulations. Posted by Reviewer2320221 on Dec 25, 2016 A very economical method of taking this essential vitamin and the metered spray makes the dosage exact. Travels easily it is not messy at all. Posted by 5284938744770018242 on Jul 17, 2016 Just love the taste of it. The efficacy is just as good as the taste. Posted by 5690707207897711588 on Jun 24, 2016 The most absorbable form of vitamin D, and so easy to use Posted by 4689629517663404130 on Jun 09, 2016 I like this product, it works for me Posted by 4805398236954963677 on Dec 29, 2016 Looks like a great product, Thanks Posted by 5200728984686445181 on Oct 27, 2016 I would like to say that my whole experience with iHerb was fantastic, the product arrived very quickly and it looks like it will definitely do the job. The customer service was also exemplary, probably the most helpful team I have ever dealt with. However I would like to point out a very IMPORTANT and unpleasant issue that I experienced. My customs import charge was more than 3 times the price of the postage and packaging. So if you are ordering outside of the United States always check the extra duties and taxes charged by your country before you buy.

Thank you once again. Posted by Reviewer1514344 on Oct 03, 2016 It's a strong vitamin D, the capsules are tiny and easy to swallow, and it's cheap. What's not to love? I think that when I first started taking these daily, I didn't get a seasonal flu or a cold for over a year. Unfortunately that effect didn't last forever, as the colds have come back. But maybe they're less severe than before: 2-3 days of feeling actually sick, then it's just 2 weeks of having a runny nose. Now its summer time and i eat less Posted by Reviewer1900566 on May 14, 2016 havent seen real proof of potency, but as it is summertime now its hard to say Great brand, great price Posted by Reviewer2720611 on Feb 04, 2014 Live in New England, so this is a great way to get D (just one tiny pill a day!) and a good price form iHerb. We started with capsules, then came drops and now there are even lozenges. There’s a wide range of vitamin D dosages, typically from 400 IU to 10,000 IU. Someone with documented vitamin D deficiency will need at least 5,000 IU daily for at least three months to normalize blood levels.
