Problem for me was the fit; definitely too short for me torso-wise and the top part didn't provide me much secure coverage. I'm not even that big in the chest mind you but I couldn't see myself doing laps in this suit without adjusting the top portion every time. Sadly, I had to return it. I think overall the Vitamin A line of bathing suits is just gorgeous but for my body type, isn't for me. This is the perfect simple triangle bikini top. However, when I tried this on, it was nowhere near full coverage. It was good material and very well made, just not full coverage. This ran wide to me so I sent it back. Definitely meant for a smaller chested woman. great coverup that doesn't look like a coverup. black is substantial enough to not be seethrough but thin enough to be comfortable in the heat and humidity. and the cut is super flattering too! gorgeous cover that doesn't look like a coverup. photo captures how sheer the white is but black is comfortable in the heat (i.e., not thick or sweaty) and from the front just looks like a cute jumper.great cover up that doesn't look like a cover up. black is gorgeous but white is obviously very see-through. comfy, substantial, and worth the price! I'm a size 2 but went with size 6. Fits perfectly and stays in place. This swimsuit is super cute! It has the right amount of coverage but is still very sexy! It definitely runs very small- I usually wear an XS and had to order a S and it's still a bit tight. Reviewer: from Newtown, Pennsylvania this product came with stains on it and the stitches were sloppy and falling out Vitamin A's designers baffle me. They make high-quality swimsuits with great fabrics, stitching, and generally what would seem to be clean, functional designs. But the functional part is lacking. This top seems to be their staple seller, yet I don't understand why. The space between the two cups is too far apart, where you are millimeters away from showing your nipples and would easily expose yourself if you did more than lay on your back at the pool. The model wearing the "Ice Green" colored top makes you think it will fit, but it absolutely doesn't and remains way too far apart. I'm speaking as a petite woman with a 34B chest.
This top would be great if they brought the cups closer together. Also, the design of this top isn't too flattering on women with bigger/muscular shoulders, no matter how petite you are. But, the back is soooo low cut. I could see my butt crack!! I totally agree with the other poster. I had a feeling it would be skimpy so I ordered up and it was still SO skimpy it was obscene. And I am not large chested. The gap between the two cups is huge! Plus, the cups are flimsy, the fabric is wrinkly. I love the look of this top, but I have a couple of comments for anyone considering purchasing it. I am 5'6" and 135 lbs with an athletic figure and like a previous reviewer, I am relatively small chested (wear 34B VS or Calvin Klein bra) with broad, muscular shoulders.
I have trouble with some "girlier" looking tops that are made for narrower figures with triangles or bandeaus, but this top has a nice athletic cut. I ordered the white in a size 6 (smaller than I'd normally purchase - gut feeling was to purchase an 8 but wanted to make sure the cups didn't flail about while scuba diving) and although there is no structure (padding, boning, etc.) in the cup area, it is not an unattractive top when wet, it just looks a little more natural than a padded/ push-up top. It is slightly tight around the rib cage but it is my personal preference to have that tightness- kind of like a sports bra. Usually I feel like my chest is not at all accentuated, but this top actually promotes a little cleavage even on my broader frame. My only real complaint - or maybe caution is a better word - is that sunscreen will absolutely discolor the straps so be careful with the white! Will definitely order a darker color as well.
