In the past few years investing in LEGO has become a trend and hot topic amongst LEGO fans. Previously people bought LEGO for their children or their own enjoyment, and only considered selling their collection when they wanted to move on from the hobby or had to sell their collection due to financial or other issues. However especially since the use of the Internet it has become quite apparent that LEGO sets, minifigures and parts (especially the discontinued or rare ones) are in fact a hot commodity that can bring significant gains. He’s known as an AFOL (Adult Fan of LEGO) turned professional builder, and the author of many LEGO inspired books. The foundations of BRICK came from the smaller events Warren and his partner Teresa organised around the UK. But when it became a much bigger event than expected, demanding more of Warren’s time, he joined forces with Clive Morton, who has a wealth of experience running shows and events in the UK.
Together with Channell Events, they opened the doors on the first show in London in 2014. It was a sell-out success, making them look to the Midlands for their next event. There were loads of amazing features, one of which was the Wonders of the World exhibition! The mammoth alone is nearly 5m long, over 1m wide and nearly 3m tall. She is made from over 250,000 LEGO bricks and weighs approximately one tonne on her base. Over three million LEGO blocks in huge ‘BRICK Pits’ will encourage adults and children of all ages to play and start building their own creation or they can help work on a larger build.
