Excellent and simple design--they work perfectly. Q: We have two antique or at least vintage convertible highchair-strollers. They are both made of wood and have steel wheels. One is faux bamboo. When it’s converted to a highchair, the stroller wheels rise up and the stroller handle converts to solid chair legs. The other chair is plain wood with a cane seat. The wheels on this chair stay on the ground when the seat is raised to make a highchair. Do you know which chair is older? And what are the chairs worth? A: A patent for a highchair similar to your chair with a cane seat was granted in the 1940s, while a patent for a highchair matching your faux bamboo chair was granted in the 1950s. So both of your highchairs are probably at least 50 years old. But a child should not be seated in one of them today.

Neither is safe nor reliable. Still, a collector might pay $150 to $175 for each chair. Login to leave a comment. is pleased to share your comments. Now I know what to do with it!1890's Child's Oak Pressed Back High Chair-Stroller 1890's Child's Oak Pressed Back High Chair-Stroller This nicely preserved 1890's child's high chair-stroller is solid golden brown oak with a lift-up tray.  The back of the high chair has a lovely, yet simple pressed beaded oval design, with some scrolling below.  The high chair lowers and raises with a lever at the back of the seat to three positions. There are matching cast iron wheels on all feet. The finish mostly original. The previous owner had the high chair restored. It has new oak spacers for the tray arms, and newer oak matched to the finish for the tray base. The chair seat has newer drop in caning. The original wheels have a bit of residual rust in the cracks. The high chair is 40 1/2" tall, 16" wide and 22" deep when in full raised position, and 28 3/4" tall, 16" wide and 41" deep in the lowest stroller position.

Also provides an added feature and easier access to the 4 petals - mirror, spinning butterfly, spinning bee and bead filled petal.- Great entertainer for the high chair. We are currently using ours in the Bumbo Floor Seat with Tray AQUA with the Bumbo Seat Play Tray, Ivory.- Can be used as a non-stick plain old toy as well.~CONS~- The "stay put base" does not stay put very well.

It appears to work best on a very smooth surface, but still loses it's suction. I have tried numerous methods in an attempt to keep it suctioned - various levels of pressure on the base, various amounts of moisture on the suction cup. Sometimes it stays put longer than others, but eventually it falls over.~TIPS~As with any toy that gets put in your child's mouth (which is practically everything) I strongly encourage the use of non-toxic products that are safe for your child such as:The First Years 90 Count Pacifier WipesMunchkin 36 Pack Arm and Hammer Pacifier Wipes, White~CONCLUSION~My son loves to sit in his before mentioned Bumbo with the flower stuck to the Bumbo tray. I like to move it from one side to the other to encourage him to use both of his hands to spin the flower and explore the petals.Awesome highchair toyLots of fun but has one flaw...Perfect toy to keep baby busy!lovely toy Sassy Wonder Wheel Activity Center Munchkin Bobble Bee Suction Toy Melissa & Doug First Bead Maze - Wooden Educational Toy
