WHOS BEHIND THE LITTLE LENDING CO. : Living with my wonderful hubby and two cats Tinky and Arlo in Norfolk, The Little Lending Co. is a small, home business born after we tied the knot back in 2013. With heaps of collected, unique pieces I knew there would be other couples who would enjoy creating a casually styled day with some of my finds. My background in Fashion design has trained my creative eye and now I find myself drawn to anything a little bohemian, authentic and cool in the world of weddings.

Penny @ The Little Lending Co. xWe’re rewinding back to September 2014 to when the fabulous Peaktipis collaborated with a hot list of fine wedding professionals to create a ‘Let’s Tessellate!’ styled photoshoot with us at our Derbyshire country house wedding venue, Kedleston Hall. The shoot it self was captured by the amazingly talented Cathy and Brian of Oehlers Photography . I don’t know what it is with this husband and wife team and stately homes, but they always seem to capture the architectural beauty of historical properties so dramatically which graces the elegance and romance of the venue. We were delighted to be joined by the fabulous sisters, Lorraine & Sandra of Lori G Bridal with a whole collection of stunning gowns….it was sooooo difficult to choose that one perfect dress, we wanted to dress up in them all! The gorgeous model, Hannah, was made over by the lovely claire of Claire Lowe Make-up Artist and Hair Stylist.
After spending a few hours within the hall, we headed over to Peaktipis who had errected 3 tipi’s and one kung beautifully within the grounds of Kedleston Hall over looking Adam’s Bridge. My goodness, the tipi’s looked absolutely incredible.. The creative team, Mad Philomena, Fabric Theatre, The Ivory Owl Cake Company, Nadia Di Tullio Flowers and Amanda Hamilton Interior Design -Vintage Deckchair Hire truly went to town! Liz, of Mad Philomena, was the creative genius behind the styling creating a geometric palace with elegant touches of bohemian romance. The striking colours and the bold shapes beautifully complimented the uniqueness of the tipi’s creating pods of colour. Liz, by hand, designed and created all of the hanging geometric shapes, the geometric shapes decorating the tables, the hanging light up signs, the free standing ‘LOVE’ light up letters and the hanging garlands that hung from beam to beam. Liz too design all of the unique wedding stationery and table decorations, wedding favours and the personalised signs…basically, you name it Liz did it!
And between Nadia Di Tullio Flowers and Fabric Theatre, adding the final touches of flowers, draping ribbons and the hanging floral arrangements, the tipi’s just looked gorgeous! Nadia, of Nadia Di Tullio Flowers, created a beautiful hand-tied arrangement, a bohemian floral crown and all of the bold floral arrangements decorating the tables. I can honestly say that the flowers were beyond beautiful. The arrangements were not your typical find at a wedding, however that’s what we LOVED about them. The boldness, the unusualness and the quirkiness beautifully finished that bohemian look that the creative team were aiming for. The Ivory Owl Cake Company… Give this girl a brief and she goes above and beyond. Not only did Vicky’s cakes look amazing, they tasted it too! Keeping with the geometric theme, Vicky at The Ivory Owl Cake Company created a fabulous treat table that perfectly matched the rest of the tipi décor.
