Maar … die mini-CD was maar een aanzet, en een teaser voor de Architect-at-Work beurs in mei 2011. Bedoeling was o.a. een vernieuwing van de C3A-bibliotheken met goed opgemaakt DesignMeubilair uit te werken, waarbij we als leidraad een selectie uit de collectie DesignMeubels voorzien hebben (met typisch meubilair van een reeks toonaangevende meubelfabrikanten die effectief in Vlaanderen beschikbaar zijn …). Op de mini-CD was aanvankelijk enkel een collectie meubels in SketchUp-formaat uitgewerkt, maar ondertussen zijn er dankzij Vitra nog een reeks meubels bijgekomen, én werden alle elementen zowel in het klassieke AutoCAD.dwg formaat én het nieuwe REVIT.rfa formaat netjes uitgewerkt en gestructureerd in bibliotheken voor zowel Sketchup, AutoCAD én REVIT.
In het kader van de verdere uitbouw van de C3A-Extensies, werd een DesignMeubelen bibliotheek voor SketchUp PRO uitgewerkt, geïnspireerd op een reeks designmeubels zoals ze te vinden zijn in onze regio Vlaanderen: zie de DesignMeubelen.bib Casteelken powered by C3A Deze DesignMeubelen.bib CAD-bibliotheek powered by C3A werd eind 2011 verder uitgebreid dankzij Vitra en Extremis : zie dit artikel in C3A-Wijzer en zie ook dit artikel in C3A-Wijzer met de recenste aanvulling bij de release 2014 Niet toevallig zijn een groot deel van de designmeubels in de C3A-bibliotheek afkomstig van meubelfabrikant Vitra, en de publicatie van deze Designmeubelen op Architect_at_Work in mei 2011 was Vitra ook niet ontgaan. Vitra verleende graag z’n verdere medewerking aan dit project … Ook Extremis verleende z’n medewerking aan dit project … zodat ook deze gekende Extremis BuitenMeubels nu niet enkel in .dwg maar ook in .skp en .rfa beschikbaar zijn ! De Panton Chair of S Chair, die Verner Panton vijftig jaar geleden ontwierp, is ondertussen uitgegroeid tot een universele designklassieker.
De Panton Chair is onlangs vijftig geworden en exclusief voor België en Luxemburg werd de Panton uitgebracht in Summergreen, in een beperkte oplage. Bij C3A hebben we ook zo'n Summergreen Panton Chairs staan, en zo’n stoel getekend krijgen is niet evident, allemaal redenen om deze stoel op de DesignMeubelen CD hoes als symbool op te nemen ...
