You may get slightly better prices on eBay, but the cost to sell and hassle is far higher.Set up a store, set your shipping and payment policies and start listing stuff.Bricklink already knows all the set info for just about everything LEGO ever made. All you have to do to sell is input the set number, check the condition (new or used, complete or not, open or not, yes, something can be new and open or used and complete) check what others sell for (price guide or review other current listings) and set a price.Bricklink charges you 3% of the gross sale price (not including shipping) and no listing fee, monthly fee or other charges.
You will be competing with 3000 other sellers but BrickLink has by far the best buyers as well...As for the loose pieces, if you are willing to sort, also BL. If not, dump them on eBay (you can expect about 7 USD a pound) or donate them to charity. (which may be more cost effective)Take good care of your customers. Describe all flaws meticulously, be conservative about condition, and provide top notch service. Ship fast, charge actual costs, and be crisp about giving feedback back... and you'll do great.I have no financial stake in BL. Nassau County police say Gloria Haas, 53, stole the Legos after noticing them in a customer's space at a local storage facility where she was also renting. She moved the play sets to a different storage facility in Rockville Centre, then listed them for sale online, according to police.
