It is situated in the heart of Tripunithura..Here we can enjoy a holiday at the same time learn more about our great rulers of Cochin kingdom, their life style, ornaments, weapon used in those periods...In addition to that a small field with more deer...they will catch your heart.. This place is situated at a height and there are around 100 steps to climb. Entry fee for adult: Rs 30 Entry fee for hild: Rs 10 Camera charges additional for outside photography. No camera allowed inside the palace. The place comprises of historical antiques kept. Its not like a palace and the antiques kept are not so good also.... Kerala is struggling to find money to support the care of its antiquities and it shows. However this building is cared for with love and contains some really significant piences and history. teh highlight of course for me was the crown given by Vasco Da Gama to the King of Cochin. Met some lovely local ladies here who sat and chatted with us while we waited for the Palace to open.
You can always get a coffee or a bite to eat across the road if you miss time your visit. Lots of interesting exhibits to see. We visited hill palace in January . It is easily accessible by uber . Not many people go there on there visit to Kochi. It has a very good collection of artifacts and is kept very clean and well maintained. The gardens are also very Beautiful. Very nice place to visit while in Kochi . Beautifully landscaped approach to enormous museum with great variety of exhibits. After visiting main palace visit coach house & deer park. Wow what a place to visit. Be ready to climb around 100 stairs to reach the main entrance. This museum can easily beat city palace museums of jaipur and jodhpur. With wooden flooring in all the rooms its realy a great place to vist. overall a very satisfactory tour of the hill palace 1. Thirty rupees for adult Hill Palace entry fee is Rs 30/-. There is a garden in front of the palace entrance. The palace is located near the main road and at a walk able distance from the bus stop.
You are not allowed to wear footwear inside the palace. Mobile phones are also not allowed inside the palace. Photography is strictly prohibited inside the... A nice palace intact with a museum and vast open space provides one with a peek into Kerala history & also a great place for a picnic with children.
