Main minerals found in Uttar Pradesh are limestone and

dolomite. In fact, Uttar Pradesh is a poor state in terms of

mineral resources. Only about 1 percent of the total mineral

resources of the country is found in Uttar Pradesh. Dolomite

is found in Mirzapur, Banda and Sonbhadra districts and

cement category limestone is found in Mirzapur and

Sonbhadra districts.
