The Best Sheets for Making an Amazing BedWhy Shop with Us Please note: The Protect-A-Bed King size box spring encasement is actually a set that includes two separate twin xl encasements, as a king mattress always rests on two individual box springs. Protect-a-bed Bed Bug Box Spring Encasements are the pest control and hotel industry's choice for protecting box springs against bed bugs, allergens, dust mites, dirt and liquids. These high-quality protectors are trusted by hotels world-wide and have been certified by an entomology laboratory to be 100% bed bug proof. Any bed bugs you seal up in the bed bug boxspring encasement cannot escape or bite through the encasement, and will eventually die. This means you can save your boxspring without throwing it out! Not for use on mattresses. For mattress protection, please purchase Protect-a-bed Bed Bug Mattress encasements. Why use a box spring encasement for bed bug control? Bed Bug boxspring encasements and mattress encasements are a recommended addition to any bed bug treatment program.

You will still need to treat infested areas of the bedrooms. However, because the #1 breeding ground for bed bugs is the mattress and boxspring, you can now just spray and then zip up these critical areas which will eliminate a large part of the infestation. In addition, this can save an infested boxspring so you don't have to throw it out and buy a replacement. Any eggs and/or bed bugs trapped in the encasement will eventually die. Boxspring encasements and mattress encasements are also nice because they provide very few if any places for bed bugs to hide and harbor (compare that with all of the folds, seams, nooks and crannies of a mattress and box spring), and they are clean and white making future investigation and treatment easy. Also consider that if you should find bed bugs on your mattress again at some point in the future, treatment would be as easy as taking off the mattress encasement and washing it in warm water. Again, the key harborage areas for bed bugs would be protected, and so would your mattress investment.

We recommend spraying an infested boxspring with bed bug control products first before encasing it and then keeping the encasement intact for at least 12 months (bed bugs can live a very long time without a blood meal). The bed bugs and eggs inside will die, and the box spring will be protected from further infestation. BugLock™ 3-sided zipper system and ALLER-ZIP™ seal for complete protection against allergens, dust mites and bed bugs. Bug entry, escape and bite proof. Certified 100% Bed Bug Proof by an entomologist laboratory. Listed as a Class 1 medical device with the FDA. Dust mite barrier and allergy protection Protects against allergens such as pet dander, pollen and mold 2 year warranty against defect in workmanship and materials These boxspring encasements are not waterproof. Easy to Wash & Use: Machine wash in warm water with another garment such as a towel. Tumble dry on low to medium heat with like garments. Do not bleach (or use bleach alternatives) or dry clean.

I simply tucked the extra width to the inside. They seem fairly substantial and even come with a few pads for any rough edges on the bed frame. I am now ordering another pair to put on my king box springs. Was this review helpful to you? 3 of 3 people found this review helpful: Protect a bed box spring cover king By Nancy in DE on 07/04/2012 Received in record time. Purchased for daughter who was being bitten every night by bed bugs. After locating their origin in the box spring, copious spraying and applying this cover, she can now sleep again. One note, do not try to slide this off of the bedframe alone, she did and ripped the corner. Duct tape has fixed the rip and all is well. We were not looking forward to the enormous expense of an exterminator and this seems to have solved the problem with minimal cost.

The cover is very easy to install. Seals the entire mattress, top and box springs. Worth the money if you want to protect an investment like this. By Mamma in USA on 10/08/2010 This is a must if you buy the mattress cover. Why not the box spring cover, too? I will be buying again. Fast free delivery is a plus. 1 of 1 people found this review helpful: Mattress Cover for the box spring By C. in Spring on 05/16/2011 It was a lot better than the first mattress cover we order and returned and it fit great and is working perfectly.
