Tsukihoshi’s shoes are some of the best sneakers you can buy for your kids.I absolutely fell in love with Tsukihoshi Children’s Shoes! Speed (Little Kid/Big Kid) Reviewer: from Milwaukee, WI My son loves these shoes. They fit him really well, he's 6 so they get very dirty. They hold up very well in the washing machine and are generally very durable Rainbow (Little Kid/Big Kid) These are nice shoes, even though a bit pricey. My daughter is hard on shoes and these still look good after a couple weeks. She says they are very comfortable. Baja (Little Kid/Big Kid) My son loves these he doesnt care for velcro and laces are ok but he loves the toggle. He plays a lot of sports so these are great with all his quick changes My kindergartner needed new shoes, and these were the ones he picked. The first pair we got in his size was too big to make it worth having him go ahead and wear them anyway, so I exchanged them for the next size down. The next size down was what I had been looking for - a pair that fit with a bit of growing room.
So I would say they run just a bit large compared to other brands we've bought. (The description does also state they run a bit large, but I will admit I didn't notice that when I ordered.) He's been wearing them for a few weeks now, and has been very happy with them. He can get them on and off with no trouble, says they're comfortable, and so far they still look great. I would definitely recommend these shoes! My three-year-old loves these. He puts them on by himself and they're his go-to shoe for every day--we struggle on winter-weather days when I want him to wear boots and all he wants are his sneakers. We're six months in and they're holding up well. Mako H&L 2 (Little Kid/Big Kid) My daughter wears orthotic inserts and this brand is one of the only shoes we've found that fit them comfortably. The insole is easily removable, which also helps. I just want to point out that since this is a Japanese brand, their sizes are originally made in CM. So, you can order two different styles that are the same US Size and they are actually slightly different (you can tell by looking at the CM size, which unfortunately zappos doesn't show online).
Just be warned that you may need to try a few different styles to get exactly what you are looking for, and just because one style fits in a certain size doesn't mean another will. These shoes are great, I just wish I could see the CM size when ordering so I didn't have to buy 4 pairs and return 3. My son never says these are very comfortable. They are light and have a good arch. They run a whole size larger than they say. Overall a great shoe! We will continue to buy this brand. Reviewer: from Washington, DC My son LOVES these shoes. We stumbled onto Tsukihoshi shoes after my son complained that just about about every other brand we tried was too heavy, pinched, too tight, etc. These shoes fit kids with wider toes and normal heels (so they don't slip). They're also feather light - they weigh 1/3 of other shoes (check the specs for your favorite brands). My son has been wearing this brand for 2+ years now, every single day, in tons of sports, and has never had a rub mark or a blister.
They are absolutely worth the money. They also wear well and wash easily, although we rarely wash them because they don't smell like other shoes. This particular pair is probably my son's favorite because he really likes the wide velcro strap. Definitely will repurchase, again, and again, and again…. Extremely light and flexible. Would definitely buy them again. They do run big almost 1 full size. But once you find the right size your good to go. These are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever had on my feet--fit me like a glove--and I am a women's size 8 wide.
So let that be a guide for you. ***Note to Zappos and shoe manufacturers: I ordered 4 pairs of shoes for my girl, 4 different makers, in sizes according to your size chart and taking into consideration reviews on fit AND ALL OF THEM WERE HUGE ON HER. I could wear every single pair I bought her. To review--I am a size 8 WIDE and my daughter is a size 5 (coming into a 5.5). This was a major disappointment to her and there were actual tears when not one pair fit after all the time we spent "shopping" the site and anticipating the delivery; and it was a complete and utter waste of my time. Now I have to reorder (if they even come smaller) and then deal with the returns. NOT COOL Tsukihosi, Converse, Vans and Jambu. And NOT COOL Zappos. These are really cute shoes and they are perfect colors for spring. I got them to match Easter outfits for my granddaughters, and it worked out nicely! Each outfit is a little different, and as are the shoes, but they all coordinate. My son loved these, & they wash well.
Reviewer: from New York These are excellent quality and very beautiful shoes. Expensive but hold up very very well with wear and washing. We bought rainbow in size 1 last Fall and our daughter has worn them almost daily and they look like new (having been washed). We just bought the shiny blue in size 2 and they are also very attractive and sturdy. Our daughter has high instep/arches and quite wide feet and other brands do not fit her well, being too shallow and sometimes narrow. Dash (Little Kid/Big Kid) I bought these sneakers for my ten-year-old daughter. She loves them and tells me that they are very comfortable. However, these shoes run very large. She wears almost two sizes smaller in this shoe than what she would in others.Styling is a bit overdone but still good. Only downside is that from elastic part is too tight to slide foot in nicely. Really really nice shoe. Good quality that lasts for more than a few weeks. Nice footbed and nice fit. All three of my sons wear this style of shoe because it's perfect for wide feet.
